So, after two characters carried to elite and being bored with them (the first one being a messy blademaster not worth mentioning, the second one a vitality occultist, very efficient but too micro-intensive), I decided to go back to basics and try a two-handed Blade arc build, as I’ve understood the skill is one of the most efficient.
After doing some research, I came up with an optimized idea of the build that should look like this : grimcalc.com/build/tNKdVo
I assume the devotion part is yet to improve, as well as the skillset. The main question though, before I jump in, is this : is Blade arc really that good of a skill, and should I get clean sweep ? Having a decade-long D2 background, I like being able to spam my stuff, and even if the extra damage sounds appealing, 5 second-long cooldown in an Arpg seems horrible to me.
Cheers and have a good day !
I’d pull soldier back to 40 and some points from the war cry modifier or elsewhere and max devouring swarm, even if you only want to use it on bosses. It will boost your damage from your bleeds dramatically and give great sustain.
I’d get at least a point into blood pact too for the 5%adcth.
You would only use the transmute if you had another skill to use as a main attack (could be item-based).
thank you guys so much for your quick answers. After some tweaking, this is what I got into : grimcalc.com/build/5IW0oB
Guess the build is Ultimate and / or HC viable too with so much hp/regen/life leech/whatnot.
I’m assuming my thoughts on Blade Arc were correct, Clean Sweep doesn’t deserving a shot (edit : did not see your last sentence @Misguided. Yeah, I’m a simple mind so I’ll only use BA for this build as a DPS tool).
