This. I use Blessed Steel for the -30 on most of my characters. Granted I have to reapply it, but it is not that bad at all, especially on an elemental build. I also use Soleal’s Witchblade currently for the extra to fire/chaos, plus the mines.
Oleron’s Blood also called “12/12 Maiven’s Sphere on demand”.
oleron’s doens’t stack with kymons will.
blessed steel is meh, single target. cast is a very weak attack and interrupts FS and is an extra button to press. not a fan, but probably not terrible either.
But the former is guaranteed to have 100% uptime whereas the latter is RNG based.
I have a question: Do the %proc chances on Kymon’s Will and Essence of Ch’thon scale with %Weapon Damage? And if they do, are they capped at 100% WD for maximum proc chance?
For example, if they do scale, I hit something with a skill that does 50% WD, then the proc chance of Kymon’s will is 5%. But if I hit something with 300%WD, then the proc chance is capped at the original 10% value.
For end game, any extra mobs get obliterated by procs. I only need the debuff for single target anyway. Definitely far from terrible.
The proc chance doesn’t scale with % Weapon Damage, the proc effect does. Not sure whether its capped.
Not everyone chooses Kymon.
What is the issue with it being single target? You only need to debuff bosses anyway.
i don’t know why jajaja focus on lightning instead of fire
can someone tell me the reason?
More damage.

Looks like this build took a decent sized hit with the patch, I’ll have to see how it feels once I get home. I play at work on a Verizon hotspot, but I cannot download a 9GB patch on it.
So how is this build looking after the patch?
Curious if jajaja is still playing and will update his stellar builds. I feel like Crate had a lot of his in mind when they were nerfing the more powerful ones.
Im not playing much lately. When I saw today, grim dawn got patched, I did a quick testrun to farm Fabius. I can’t see much difference, it may have taken a little longer to take him down though. The worst nerf for the build, may be the change to Fabius’ loot table …
i haven’t been playing recently but took a brief look at patch notes.
i think if anything this build got stronger relatively. since alot of the op stuff are nerfed. blademaster items got hit pretty hard, sabo items were untouched.
this build also never relied on a huge amount of -resist or anything.
I pretty much play the build exclusively anymore, I enjoy the Calidor’s, the BM, but this has the best feel for me. I have altered it to my liking throughout the last few months though.
With the patch, and the nerf to Empowered Legplates, I am now wearing Pretty Great Pants. I lose out on the defensive ability, but then again, I was never in any danger anyway, so not an issue. I will also be playing around with the Fateweaver Leggings today also.
Things obviously die a bit slower, due to the AS and OA nerf on Stormheart swords, the overall nerf to resistance reduction, and the Brimstone nerf. The build still kills decently fast however. I used to use Sacred Strike for the -30 resistance, but now that it caps at -18, I have shuffled a few non essential points around, and I have -21 resist from Blackwater Cocktail. I replaced it with an Imbued Silver for some extra bleeding resistance that I lost dur to dropping the Empowered Legplates.
I deviated from the initial build also in that I threw a few points into Thermite Mines and 1 point into Hellfire Mine for some additional resist reduction and some minor fire/burn damage. The quickest I was able to burn Fabius prior to the patch due to RNG was 13 seconds, but after the loot nerf and results over 25 Fab runs, I have decided not to farm him anymore.
Stormhearts lost 1% Attack Speed and 8 OA. Flame Touched lost some OA too. Static Strike and Brimstone lost a fair degree of damage.
Overall still pretty OK though.
Just found those shoulders:
How do you feel about it?
