Hey.
I was going for the more offensive setup of the two provided.
What’s worked for me was:
A point in green crossroads,
fill out Hawk,
a point in red crossroads,
fill out Viper,
a point in blue crossroads,
fill out Behemoth (for a bunch of health stuff and a nice passive trigger skill for survivability), (this also unlocked the Widow constellation, but, since the only thing we’d need from it is the arcane bomb, i didn’t go for it yet)
a point in yellow crossroads,
fill out Tortoise (for more survivability and another passive trigger skill for survival),
then you have Lizard, Eel, Panther, and Lion, in any order you want, they give you both offense and defense. Any order you want, because once you get them all filled out, (plus either Widow or another constellation that gives you a couple more blue nodes), that unlocks Light of Empyrion and Tree of Life. (and obelisk of Menhir)
When you don’t need them anymore, spec out of the green and the blue crossroads (which I believe can be as soon as you have filled out Behemoth).
Thats the general plan that I followed
You’ll have filled out Tortoise before the end of normal, and probably have a couple of the following constellations done too if you took the time to find all of the shrines.
P.S. Granted, somewhere in the leveling process I temporarily deviated from the suggested Devotions (found the info in another build), because I wanted to have more AoE (not having gotten to Stormheart or the lvl58 Legendaries with better AoE than the Solar Edges or the Legion Firestarters provide).
I was almost at the end of normal, so was a couple of constellations past tortoise (Eel, Lizard, and a half of Panther), so I specced out of all three of them (Eel, Lizard, and Panther), and out of Viper too (since Behemoth could support itself without Viper), and put the points into Scholars Light and Magi, filling them out completely for more elemental damage, Fire damage, and for the AoE skill “Fissure” at the end of Magi, which I linked to Fire Strike).
This gave me some of the AoE that I wanted.
Then, in Elite started speccing into Viper and others (while keeping Scholar’s and Magi)
Will respec back into the suggested path once I either find the lvl58 Legendaries (Crystallum and Grim Fate), or once I get to StormHearts.
Hope this wall of text helped a bit
