Vendor in Executioner Instance

Why doesn’t the game allow us to sell items to the vendor in the Executioner area under the Steps of Torment? You can’t rift gate out of the area, so having a vendor to dump your gear onto would be very helpful. I don’t understand why he’s there if you can’t sell to him. Replace him with a dynamite chest that has a decent blueprint and a chance at a blue item, if he’s not going to buy stuff.

When I first ran into him, I said “That’s very thoughtful putting a vendor in a locked down area.” and then when he refused to buy my sh*t I said “That sucks!”.

Maybe there’s a way to unlock his ability to buy items off you in normal/veteran mode, in which case the joke’s on me. Or maybe allow us to dialogue with him and choose a path that lets us kill him and steal his lewt, hehe.

I think lorewise it doesn’t make sense that a ghost would buy your stuff. but that’s taking an odd stand for lore in a world where only about .00000001% of humanity even seems to still be alive; not real sure what we’re fighting for lol. the world is already utterly F—ED :stuck_out_tongue:

You can buy weapons that are required for crafting from those vendors and sometimes be lucky and find one with awesome rolls.

You cannot sell so you do not feel compelled to pick up everything that drops and bring it to him for a few coins. Just pick up the good / expensive items and ignore the yellows.

@blawsonhull: Lore-wise it doesn’t make sense either that a ghost (!) locked (!!) in an ancient torture-prison (!!!) would sell equipment (!!!) for iron bits (!!!).

@mamba: I too would love to be able to sell stuff to that merchant. That is because I still feel compelled to pick up the greens and blues and purples, and my character’s inventory is often so packed that I barely have space for more than a handful of items. That’s because of that limited stash space, I guess, which is there for me to not be compelled to keep everything I found.
I guess, I’m just playing it wrong… :stuck_out_tongue:
