Devs are super busy on patch day but…
I completed ‘The Hidden Path’ quest on Ultimate and I only received 1 skill point whereas I expected to receive 3.
Did I misunderstand the patch notes?
For reference I had started the character and the quest prior to 1.2 to farm pants. I also would have used a Merit.
Uploading my save to Grim Tools shows 2 unclaimed skill points.
Not sure if working as intended?
you don’t get the bonus points if also using a merit
the new system only applies to new chars not using merits and killing logh on normal (while skipping point quests)
If you used a merit, then you already earned the skill points from the lower difficulties. One skill point is the expected result.

no backtracking needed, if you used a merit like you said: you already go those points from normal/elite

Further testing has indeed revealed this to be user error 
I was missing “The Other You” and another skill point at the end of FG
