Veteran Difficulty is not too hard and I am willing to prove it

That’ll be fourth then. I think I’ll also think up some rules in the OP later to make it more constraining for myself so I can’t fully exploit my knowledgebod the game for an easy ride. Like no multiclassing until you reach 50 mastery on your first class. Since a lot of new players for hard on the first

I’ll see if I can figure out a way to shove ice cream through my router in the meantime.

This will probably also be a good thread to find out which enemies and bosses were undertuned. Alright I’m going to go grab bubble tea and hang with my gf for a while. I suspect the first videos will start going up on YouTube around 9:30 EST.

Want newly buffed Arcanist, but with Panettis :hear_no_evil:

Seems this would be easiest with a single video, with no mastery selected at all. For level 15, that is where in vanilla Vet, about the Shambler right? Should be totally doable without any skills. A lot of kiting and wishing for something other than LMB, but doable, if you have the patience for such things.

I am doing horrible with transmuted stun jacks so far, I have never played with that this early xD

I already did a video series pre 1.1.4 with classless no skill points invested whatsoever thru half of FG ultimate in hardcore mode, but that was with twinked gear. I still think that proves the point. I don’t mind making all these videos.

New Thread rule: Classes suggested that have already been suggested will be pushed later down on the queue until all classes have been cycled through once. So you can suggest a class that’s already been suggested, but if it’s already on the list in the OP, it will be the 10th or more video.

Not fair. You know the game mechanics , item stats and their importance etc. You can’t just flasherase your memeory

Let me get that for you.

That’s not the damn point. The point will be to show that it is manageable. It’s veteran difficulty. For veteran gamers. The kind of people who find that if they’re failing they might be doing something wrong, and might look a few things up. I will have some rules to limit myself a bit so I can’t fully use my game knowledge that will be explained later on, but I’m not going to cripple myself to do veteran.

I’d consider doing meme builds in normal though. But I already tried that by doing battle mage and getting 1 point in everything and it was working for a good while but boring.

Did someone complain that Veteran is not manabeable? I read some topics saying that monsters’ HP buff makes fights a bit longer and tedious so that felt boring to them. In Normal. not Veteran. If someone say that Veteran is not doable send them to Normal  no problem here

Check the Steam forums XD. People are actually complaining it’s too hard on veteran and normal, not just too much HP. I mean, the HP part I can soooooort of empathize with a bit. They could probably reduce whatever % they buffed it by by a third.

But, yes, there are people who actually find it far too difficult, normal and veteran. So doing this on veteran proves they’re both not that difficult.

Seems like 5 people want you suffer

You know that won’t prove to them anything. Because if someone thinks Nomal (!) is difficult are hm… how to say that… stubborn? I can envision someone might think Veteran is difficult if they are complete newbies at GD but usually people try to improve by reading Game Guide at least.

With all that said it would be still interesting to watch your videos. Which of those five options give the easiest start?

Tbh this is all for self amusement and to be an internet glove slap to their face for proclaiming such ludicrous complaints.

The thread pays no respect to the argument of “I should be able to pick whatever I want and do great and never die!” I stand by the idea that GD is designed for an audience that is willing to be punished for making bad choices and rewarded for making good ones.

Trasmuted Phantasmal Blades is actually one of the best leveling skills in the game. Leave the base skill on lower ranks, pump Nether Edge and Heart Seeker, and it’s super fast.

As Zantai already said they are going to lower HP for monster at Normal . That is the answer - those who want to use some brain cells while playing GD should play Veteran , the rest - welcome to Normal. Win-win

Necromancer with Drain Essence and Demo with non-transmuted Stun Jacks plz !

Well having “video proof” might actually be valuable for the ones that are complaining, they might learn something

Heh :damage_aether:
