Viper and hand of ultos - aka "are my devotions bad?"

I have a very big question :

I am trying to have a maximum of elemental resistance for my lightning/fire purifier.
According to a post i read, you can have only 3 sources of RR:
-n resistance
-% resistance
reduced resistance

Viper and hand of ultos have the same text. Does it mean they don’t stack ?

Also, is the viper RR aplied only when weapon damage is applied?

I am waking up at lvl 87 but, better now than never :wink:

Viper is only applied through weapon damage, with 100% weapon damage applying the full 20%. It doesn’t stack with Hand of Ultos because they are the same debuff type that doesn’t stack with itself.

If you pick Hand of Ultos i don’t see the point of picking Viper. Unless you pick it either for the affinity points or 3% OA.
