[Warder] Pure RETALIATION, REFLECT, INVINCIBLE, 100k+ DAMAGE, Hardcore Ultimate 100% Done (SF Gear)

Do the math.

So if you get hit 10 times. On average the proc would’ve happened once, so on 10 hits it would deal 1087 dmg.

Where as with the other one, 10 hits would result in 300*10=3000 dmg.

3000>1087

His build is based on not attacking at all, of course this is not the best, but is what he wanted to do, make a character that can just stand there and stuff dies.

WOAH THANKS…Yu da real MVP

How do you deal with enemies not being able to hit you? With 0% chance to dodge, some still takes several swings at me before they hit. Especially the aether corruptions. And they hit really slow. Could be more of a problem in veteran as in elite and ultimate the enemies have more offensive ability?

Definitely an elite thing, as almost all ultimate-viable builds stack OA because DA doesn’t do shit against OHKOs.
Even this build’s main defensive stat is 24k HP, and “high DA” is a byproduct of stacking retaliation gear.

any more bis you have sorted on this list?

omg leveling this up is such a pain. u have to respec the build any time u face pure range from elit and up because u cant kill them with like 500 dps, they heal faster and u cant progress with out killing them in some spots.

so respec and go back with 2h and kill and then respec back lol, maybe this should be diffrent leveling guid and then a respec caracter after lvl 75 or some thing…

2h bladearc or primal strike your way to ult log

Hi Squib,

Thanks for the build. Just finished Elite with it. Not to jinx anything, but so far, a walk in the dark, bloody park. Mostly.

Very nice build and guide!

Lvl 53 atm, and no probs at all. Can`t agree with those who say leveling is a pain. Ranged mobs are little hard sometimes, but when u use the tips in the guide, it works well.
It is so much fun playing that dude! Thank you for sharing this build and keep up your good work!

Greetings,

Pennywise

good stuff

Hey, I just started this game and chose this build! I don’t get how to kill range monster, in close combat its really nice. And I would like to know where I can get all the items I need and which ones I should choose on the spaces that aren’t told in this guide yet

Kind regards

So I recently beat veteran Log at lvl 39 with this build.

As you might expect it took about 15 minutes of thwacking him until he simply got bored and went to sleep.

In any case leveling him up to 40 was ugly once 35 hit. So I have a few thoughts on how to make it a little less grueling.

Chipped/Severed Claw on main weapon. Serrated shell on shield.: This helped immensely since it let me actually do something to bosses.

Spec out of devouring swarm earlier. Great for those early levels but not really great once you start looking at smugglers pass. I never did this myself but it seems like investing those points into the weapon pool skills along with the above suggestion would go a long way to making more active dps.

Try holding with both hands. Didn’t try this either (I went sword and board the whole way) but combined with the above you can easily switch to a two hander and go after casters and ranged guys and knock them out once the melee impales itself on you.

I have a retaliation character with 80% in common, (actually this guide helped me to round up tmy build). Log is pretty easy, cause he has a melee attack, but fully ranged enemies are a pain in the ass (like the guy you fight before Log, Karroz 1st form, Salazhar, etc). I ignore any ranged champ usually, except the ones from quests, is really boring to hit something 15 min…

I have 16/16 in savagery too and the Shield Wall Skill (125% more dmg reflected), both help a lot. Is still slow as hell, but… 50% less slower. There are enemies you should always kill anyway (like everyone that heals…A room with 4-5 skeleton priests is like hell).

I don’t have points on the HP regen skills (1/16 Veterancy, 4/16 Modrogen Pact), since I feel my regen is high enough anyway, and they dont add too much. Totem+normal regen+Tree of Life proc is enough lol, I regen like 4k/s.

“Get retaliation procs - Items that retaliate (doom bolt, vines, lightning in my build for example, see video) will help kill everyone on the map (not just those in melee range) and compliments your retaliation damage very well.” I dont realy understood this part. Do you mean that “Vines” “Doom bolt” etch. deals damage based on retalation amount of character ?

He’s not looking at the fact that your kit is pretty much 100% Retaliation + HP in order to be end-game, much like your Devotionals.

Taking it into proc-based territory nerfs your build into the ground.

Is there anything you can suggest to help with the massive energy drain on this build early game? There’s so much energy reserved that I’m constantly chugging energy potions as casting Swarm about 3 times leaves my toon totally drained. Only up to L21, so not yet at the point where I can respec out of that skill.

Ectoplasm.

Ah, will have to see if he can find some then.

Thanks for this build, Squib. I have finally manged to defeat Ultimate Log after taking a number of characters to level 85. I had 1 death early in Normal due to inattention but had no problems once I started following this guide.
