[Warder] Pure RETALIATION, REFLECT, INVINCIBLE, 100k+ DAMAGE, Hardcore Ultimate 100% Done (SF Gear)

Same here  Just started to use the guide and at lvl 20, the Guide disappeared :frowning: now i am kinda lost

Squib, you’d better contact an administrator and find out why the other guide got nerfed. Could be they deleted it by mistake.

So playing something similar to this up at around level 60 currently I really think the defense aspects of this build are blown out of proportion (maybe in ultimate that will change). Add to that any boss who doesn’t melee takes ages to kill, and that’s with me using a modified build with less defense and more reflect/single target dps.

Namely this:

Couple critiques:

  • I see no reason why Modrogen’s Pact has more than one point. HP regen is very subpar and the energy regen is not required at all.
  • Tenacity of the Boar IMO should be used over many of the defensive skills, even if only Mod’s pact. +OA and +DA and 100% to all HP regen are much better for this build.
  • War cry increases clear speed significantly (Cthon and other casters will come to melee) with the only downside being it decreases Reflect dmg slightly.

I’m wondering how you leveled this character through Ultimate and Elite and what your endgame reflection stats were? I feel like going against the Cthon bosses would be damn near impossible with the leveling guide w/o some insanely good on hit skills.

That being said the idea behind this build is great. It’s hilarious overpowered in most scenarios.I remember getting bored killing Zaria the Carver on elite, so I activated the Devotion shrine and just sat there tanking everything with ease.

So… I just entered Ultimate.
Danger Zone is ridiculous at damage mitigation but its kinda needed because my resistances dropped to near-dangerous levels when these two are on cooldown.

As in, everything that isnt elemental is around 30%ish, poison is sitting at 17% which really hurts both metaphorically and literally, so…
Which faction has the best resistance augments for the armor items?

Trying to make a similar build, but taking more block stuff, and adding Trample in there.

I figure, the retaliation damage is more than enough for melee, and can back off some of that and take some other more fun stuff

Want to lose Wendigo Totem as well.
Add in Warcry.

Build theme is an advancing rhino/fortress

You can get very decent resists just from augments and components.

Use these:

Rovers have some good hp/hp regen and vitality or elemental accessory augments and also a 15% poison/acid res one for armor.

Use the links I posted though to go through and make your char the best you can

Hey there,

enjoying the guide really and fun to play. But I’m now at a Point where it is almost impossible for me to kill caster-bosses.

I’m lv 63 right now and heading on to end of act 3 elite.

Is the only way now to farm some reflect gear? Or are there any other possibilities…? I’m a little bit stuck atm…

you can get reflect on components like prismatic diamond and mark of the myrmadon. Also use warcry since it does health reduction damage in an aoe.

The only time you should struggle are against bosses, even ranged casters should die fast with retaliation build due to a little reflect and other skills but some bosses will take a little longer.

Love the guide and build(!)…up to lvl 42 or so.
I’m only lvl 45 elite and I seem to already encounter enough bosses that take days to kill (or can’t be killed) that adjustments are needed to the skills, at least until I get leveled up…or better gear…or something.

I’m going to steal your skill ideas MrBones and fit them in this build. If you have more ideas/devotion/skill ideas that may round this build out…

^ good advice. Warcry only needs 1 point for the 33% life reduction but don’t expect this to be real valuable vs large bosses.

Here is the link to my other Offensive (Never ending procs) Warder Build & Guide for those who were messaging me.

Hi Squib. I got full set of Empowered Perdition gear (lv65). Can u recommend other gears (relic/rings/amulet/medal/weapon/boots/leg/belt) to compliment this set? Planning to use this set and try your build

You’re already sitting pretty good on gear then! If you line the devotion, skills, and components up in the guide to match your gear that will be a very stout build. Since your retaliation will be strong also watch for reflect gear (helps with ranged), and gear that will fill in for survivability. Kymon’s chosen faction also has some nice retaliation/high hp gear you can buy and use at lvl 70 too! Watch for thorn legguards, and the retaliation belt I listed can be found at low level too.

Reading from comments this build seems to have problem with casters. Is there any legit or good devotion setup to utilize Spear of The Heaven for this caster mobs/bosses problem? Or it would not be possible?

This build is tough enough to go any devotion route but SotH will simply be to weak in ultimate. IMO its the weakest of the third tear Dev skills. Reflect and procs are your best bet for ranged. Also skills like one point in war cry for a 33% life reduction.

Casters just require higher reflect gear. Also you can respec some of the defense into OA buffs and -DA debuffs for enemies to do some DPS. At the end of epic I picked up higher reflect gear and had less trouble. I wouldn’t change the devotions though if you’re changing the skills and I wouldn’t bother with SoTH.

Did you see my comment on Tenacity of the Boar over Mod’s pact? Think it should improve the regen. Unless the +Energy was required in Ultimate.

You’re not kidding about ranged being slow. It just took me 20 minutes to wear down that boss outside of log den at level 44 on my first run with this build.

Something I was thinking about…would a slightly more active variation of this build using briarthorn be better than reflect damage stacking?

It’s only slightly more active because you would need to set the briarhthorn to focus down the ranged bosses from time to time… plus it looks like briarthorn has rataliation. I assume they benefit from All Retaliation bonuses too?

Finally finished Veteran with this beauty!

Thank my job for the slow progress.

And only 2 deaths, which don’t count! Stupid aether damage ground…

I was wondering…are gears with ā€œx% chance of y Lightning/Fire/Poison/etc. damageā€ better than straight-up retaliation damage gear? Like, I have these leggings with 10% chance of 1087 Lighting Ret. lying around and I was wondering if they would be more useful than the one I have equipped, which has, I think, 300+ ret.?
