On the long road of “one of every class combo” Grenado was the one skill that consistently eluded me. I build my characters around sets to somewhat protect from drastic item reworks, and the Grenado sets just never came up on my radar.
Turns out that’s because there aren’t any. There is Rimetongue - fair enough. There is Barrelsmith - a 2-item set that, personally, I don’t find fun to play.
And that’s it.
FOA comes with Lokhor’s Folly, sure, but the way it’s set up, it’s a Bone harvest set with CD reset. Doesn’t really offer anything interesing for Dreadnought side of things.
Can we put something extra on that set? Or just get something entirely new in the future, I know more Awakened items are coming.
Maybe people should provide feedback during the feedback period instead of “hoping” for something and then make the request on the week the patch and FoA releases because then it will happen.
I wasn’t in 1.3 playtest, and I also assume FoA items were not avaliable in it for non-praetorians. I’m making my feedback off the public grimtools update. Don’t like it - don’t read it.
I thought there was a cold damage version for Grenado. Zerker does cold damage, so that should work, no?
Edit.
I am now imagining a brid man tossing splody things at groups of mobs. Where is he getting those splody things? You don’t wanna know… dun dun duuuuuuun!
Listen guys, let me put it in different terms. Is there a reason for Lokhor’s folly to not support Dreadnought?
We have a similar in concept CD reset set for Soldier-Shaman-Zerker trio. Where Upheaval reduces CD on Leap and Leap reduces CD on Forcewave. And then it has at least some amount of skill mods on it to consider Warder, even if it’s not the main attraction.
I’m not asking for something immediate 3 days ahead of release. But there will be patches and content updates down the line. Something for consideration.
Fair, but a lot of my chars are almost a decade old at this point. There were balance shifts and drastic item reworks over this time, and the approach protected me from them decently enough, never having to fundamentally rework stuff even from AOM days.
I haven’t absorbed the entirety of new uniques and MIs in the GT update, maybe there’s something tasty there.
