We dont need a 2nd Demolitionist

Hey,

iam talking about the last twitch stream… the new inquisitor is a bad copie of the demolitionist… really bad gamplay with stupid mines Oo and a channeling skill which is such a bad idea for a caster… immobilize him and he dies… guys change him in a whole! Do some adjustments to the skills ! the channeling skill should be a blast of fire or something. the lightning ones too. Delete those stupid mines -.-

The Necromancer is awesome ! iam really happy about that one because its something new but the inq. is a bad copy of the demo…
Sorry but its true

If you dont like the class, then dont play itl. For example, i cant bear Occultist, so i just ingore it.
Chaneling spells are fine, as long as they do enough dmg. And mines looks cool. I cant wait to play a burning purifier :fire:

“I don’t like a thing, therefore I want to keep everyone else from liking it.” Ugh…

thats not the thing here, my concerns are about the role of this class. the necro is something new to the game. inq. not. and that is fail. you can easy put this skills to the demo because something is missing there . the inq. should take a different role !

and thanks zantai

Depending on who you ask, you would get the exact reverse of your statement in regards to the uniqueness of the roles the new masteries bring.

i only like the ultimate skill with the dmg over time. really cool for a tank build or retailation

The Inquisitor is basically the ranged Nightblade. Obviously he also needs something flashy for his skillset because a lot of people would likely be disappointed with a mastery that involves the player just standing spamming auto-ranged attacks.

Necro is just occultist with cold support instead of chaos.

I think both masteries offer something unique and fill some gaps in current synergies and combinaisons.

I can see why some people would see Inquisitor as too close to Demo, but keep in mind that it is only because Demo was pretty much the only class that had some obvious range support and had a clear focus on fire.
The fact that Inq brings: native range dual wielding, real trap-like mechanics, caster-like elemental skills, piercing support, dual/triple elemental support along with their DOT counterparts and party buff/sustain makes it very versatile for a lot of combinaisons.

And we still haven’t seen all of it yet.

Very excited for both masteries.

Where does this notion come from that channeling is a death sentence? SMH. Just because you can’t manage it, doesn’t mean others can’t. Personally I love channeling and I’m going to be trying that skill ASAP.

Who is this clown, judging new classes before they are even released.

^^^it was mistake to have an inquisitor after all! a clown mastery could have made everyone happy with no complaints!

arcanist: soldier but with spells instead of sword
occultist: soldier but with edgelord satanism instead of sword
demolitionist: soldier but with guns and fire instead of sword
shaman: soldier but with lightning and totems instead of sword
nightblade: soldier but with two swords instead of one sword
necromancer: soldier but uses bones instead of swords (worthless savages)
inquisitor: soldier but purges heresy with guns instead of sword

it’s like crate isn’t even trying anymore

We actually did have a modder working on a mastery that did have some clown/3 Stooges characteristics happening. And it was awesome.

Unfortunately, it was never finished as the author moved off to other things. If anyone wants to pick up the mantle tho, I for one would love to play it.

OP just treat any new class mostly as a dual class enabler.
Anyway it will get old soon, what’s left is AoE enabling skills and filler passive nodes. So the more, the better.

its so smart and interesting to give opinion on things you can even try yet, you cant try new devotions, items, balance, gameplay feeling of skills etc etc etc
but yeah lets say this and/or that is good/bad before trying it, its a good way to support our fav game i guess and anyway we are better devs than devs themselves right ?

try and give opinion after.

Adding a spoiler tag, in case you haven’t watched Grava’s stream and don’t wanna get spoiled.
Can Demolitionists heal themselves up?

Can Demolitionists create a starfish nova of Cold Damage?

Can Demolitionists enable you to dual wield guns by default?

Can Demolitionists create a torrent of Fire and keep channeling it like a flamethrower?

Can Demolitionists even have a Exclusive Skill?

Please, tell me more how the Inquisitor is just a 2nd Demolitionist, just because you saw a skill that is similar to Canister Bomb.
Wait…What? Cold Nova? Sick. I miss the coolest stuff when I miss the streams.

As for Dual…TBH I’ve never gotten a satisfactory explanation as to WHY that is the ONLY type of wielding we need to unlock. It’s not so OP and unbalanced that it somehow beats every other type of wielding at all times…So why is it we need to unlock THAT, but not, say, 2Handers? Or using an Offhand? Why is it ALL the others are free, but Dual we need to wear some piece of crappy gear to get?

It’s archived. You can still watch it right here.
