We dont need a 2nd Demolitionist

Win what? There was no competition. And OFC, you have no guarantee that they won’t change the core game at some point in the future, so even if there WAS a competition…You haven’t won, nor have I lost. Crate could post right now ‘This will never change’…And then change it in a year or so.

I think you underestimate the work it takes to change things, sure not removing items, but changing skills means rebalancing things.

And honestly there are a lot of ways to dualwield so it’s not that hard, limiting it the way it is now also limits what weapon combinations you can use on some classes so despite what you might think it would require a lot of balancing…

Rebalancing WHAT skill? Currently we’ve got one unlocking “skill” and then multiple items. Nightblade’s just fine without that skill unlocking dual, they’d still be the dual class because of all the support.

And “limits what combination you can use on some classes”…That’s the point? That would be why you change it, is to NOT limit that. It’s the only gear combo that has this weird extra lock on it. Everything else, if you have the stats, and you have the item, you can wear it as you please, even if it makes no sense. But two weapons? Oh nonono, we have to give THAT and only THAT, an extra lock to clear…Because we said so. When you look at it like that, does it really make sense to you to have made Dual that way?

Have you tried hitting both hard and fast? It’s pretty fun, actually. =/

Then we disagree. Oh well. I’m so shocked.
We disagree with you too.

Actually two handers have worse augments, not only does dualwield give you the options to use different augments to improve different areas, if you choose the same augment and it gives let’s say 150 dmg using two would give 300 and a two-handed version would be 200-250 instead. Just look at the augments, they are stronger than one but dualwield you get two.

And case in point…

Well let’s just ignore everything thing else for a while and just consider that anyone can actually wield a two handed sword roughly, or a one-handed one even (hold it swing it) but dualwield actually takes more practice. It actually makes more sense that it’s a skill just like panettis replicating missiles.

I was going to create a new thread, but since you’re all talking about Inquisitor, can I ask the question…

I saw the dev stream with the new trap skill (don’t know the name), the one that had the canister bomb sound and animation. Are those placeholders for what the actual skill will be? I really hope they are placeholders. :eek:Thanks.

I could guess that, LOL. Hm…The guys who did X, don’t agree me when I don’t think they should have done X? Nah, that can’t be. That’s crazy talk. :stuck_out_tongue:

They are and Grava even mentions it in the video.

I did it right, i wanted to show you guys to think about the new and existing masteries. I love grim dawn and i think iam one of the longest fans here ^^ i mean, this game is build by the community and the devs hearing us. You cant get all guys behind you as a dev but we can find a compromis before the addon arrives us. Its a very early stage of the new masteries but i think we can see that the necro feels alot polished as the inq does. We will see what the devs are doing but i hope they will put some more love to the inq.

Hey, thanks powbam. I missed that.

I found the inquisitor to be very unique even though i do find somethings very odd

Inquisitor-
1. Flames of Ignafar

Impressive skills, it seems much better than AAR/Obliteration and seems to counter the problem of most ray builds
Love the modifier adds flat Lightning damage
Reduces energy cost
Adds Fumble

2. Storm Box of Elgoloth

Aether Lightning support through transmuter, unique skill mechanic. Awesome

3. Word of Pain

Not sure i understand the skill, I love it but i don’t know if you intend it as a debuff skill or damage skill
Impaired Aim is nice btw

4. Aura of Censure

Remove the RR please, a very important end-game tackling mechanic being part of an exclusive skill limits build diversity. Had the skill not been exclusive it’d have been worth it imo
Besides that, i love the concept of Auramancer playstyle

5.Aura of Conviction

Love this one, Pierce damage feels odd there but love it. %DA - count me in

6. Inquisitor Seal modifier Null Field-

Love the idea, avoid projectiles means a way to tackle the Queen

7. Word of Renewal

Pretty darn nice, considering it ensures that one of the main factions can’t damage you a lot

8. Rune of Kalastor-

Always been a big fan of Canister Bomb, love it

9. Rune of Hagarrad-

Love it, just fucking love it. Fuck everything release the expansion!

10. Chilling Rounds-

Nice, ranged Cold WPS
Love the theme and the unique skill mechanics of Inqusitor

Problems i noticed-
1. Resistance Reduction-

-making Elemental RR part of an exclusive skill makes no sense to me
-Aether and Chaos RR placement feels odd but i think we can tackle it,
-Physical RR in flames of ignaffar is very odd

2 Ignafar transmuter

I am impressed with the skill but the modifier feels like buzz-kill considering we already have a Chaos Ray in Arcanist
And if i really want Ignafar to be a Chaos skill then i’d just go with Blood Orb of Chthon
Here is my reaction to what was previewed about Necromancer-

1. WPS Necrotic Edge-

Vitality Decay support
And Cold support
Insta-favorite

2x Nex Reaper build (or was it Ortus that was the cold sword?)

2. Drain Essence-

Love this skill, unique in it’s own right
Aether/Vitality synergies feel awesome

Endless Thirst modifier seems kinda interesting

3. Ravenous Earth-

Description makes it sound like a corrupted fissure. Poison/Vitality skill screams Cabalist

Nice to see a new Poison source (looks weak though)

4. Ill Omen-

Unless the “Reduce enemy damage” is more than 1 second it won’t be worth investing

5. Spectral Binding-

Looks awesome

6. Master of Death-

Pretty sure this aura is under construction (more so than the others) due to lacking player benefits (besides %OA and Resist)

7. Reap Spirit/Wraith-

My video quality was shit but it appears to be using a new model

8. Bone Harvest-

Animation is awesome

Skill itself feels like the love child of Tremor and Lethal Assault. It feels a little awkward tbh, considering it’s a class ability i was hoping for something better.

Cold/Vitality seems nice though

EDIT:

Love the skill, sorry bad stream quality

This is why I don’t read the forum lately.

Is it because I posted Spoilers?

OR

Because the OP is trying to make a subjective argument sound objective?

OR

Because people are disagree with him?

I, for one, have loved the Demo since the Alpha/Beta.

It has always been my favorite class.

Now I am going to be afforded the opportunity to double-down my love for the class?

I am getting a little Demo with my Demo, you say?

Yes, please.

#TeamDemo

#DoubleTeamDemo

#TeamDoubleDemo

Yes, this.

At first I thought we are not getting piercing ranged mastery, but quisitor actually appears to be that as well. The name for the class is strange as I would rather have expected some brigand personality to use physical guns. We’ve met them in Cairn too.

You got a timestamp or screenshot for that? I’ve gone through the video a bunch of times now and can’t find it for the life of me.

A fire to cold transmuter on the other hand…I certainly wouldn’t say no to that. Would work well with the lightning too.

Hell yes
