As you may be aware, Fangs of Asterkarn is actively in development, and we expect to begin the Berserker mastery playtesting by the end of the year (and the rest of the expansion as it comes of course).
In light of this, we would like to expand the ranks of the Closed Testing Group (also known as the Praetorians on the forum). Being a Praetorian does not confer any special privileges beyond getting an early look at what’s in development (and I suppose a free copy of the upcoming expansion) in the hopes that you will take a bit of your time to provide feedback and report issues.
We do not meddle in fancy NDAs, but we do expect scrutiny to avoid spoiling unreleased content for everybody else. Break that trust and you will not be a Praetorian for long. We only had to revoke these privileges twice in 10 years, so we certainly hope there will not be a third in the new ranks.
When we invite new playtesters, we are generally looking for members of the Grim Dawn community that are active and make a positive contribution. We do not base this entirely on knowledge of the game or its mechanics as we prefer a wide range of experiences from the newbies to the experts.
That said, we are looking for some enthusiastic players to get an early look and provide valuable feedback. To apply, PM me before December 1st, 2024 with the subject line: I Have What it Takes to be a Praetorian!
Now, before you think “it’s just that easy?!”, you must also tell me exactly why you think you’d be a great Praetorian and just what about the upcoming Fangs of Asterkarn expansion has you most pumped!

Applying (obviously) does not guarantee that you will receive an invite. We may also extend invitations to users that did not apply based on our own ideas of what members of the community we think would be good candidates.
