weapon advice - dual wield lighitng druid

Hi,

i ve made dual wield lighting shaman - just like in wow :slight_smile:
At lvl 57 i have found theese weapons: empowered lighting rod.

And since then i have melt everything. I could face tank bosses on elite without thanks to life leech. But after lvl 80+ i have found that my dps is too low to keep my alive just like in elite. So i was looking forward to find my Stormheart, but when i have finally found it this have happened:

How is it possible that lvl 58 epic is so stronger than lvl 75 legendary? And could you advice me wich weapon should i use? That 10% attack chance on my rod is so powerufil with my attack speed…

I already tried DW Lightning Druid, it lacks of attack speed, so DW Crystallum is better than Stormheart

Edit :
If you don’t have Crytallum, use Empowered Lighting Rod, it has more attack speed and +Savagery skills

DW Stormheart is mainly for Elementalist’s that focus on FS line and Static Strike at that. You can bring it to 22/22 and i’ve made an Elementalist focusing on it.
Actually works quite good and melts away most of the stuff, can be a good alternative for Savagery.

So yeah Crystallum all the way for Savagery.

But why Druid, not Trickster?

DW FS Elementalist looks interesting, perhaps I’ll try it later :wink:

Agree, with Trickster :

  • We can save Relic or Medal slots for enabling Dual Wield
  • Trickster has it’s own WPS from Nightblade
  • We can save weapon component for Blink (NB has SS for mobility)
  • NB has cool Pneumatic Burst

Even so, with proper gear, DW Lightning Druid is still good :

to answer the original question: the dps is lower because the lightning rod adds +2 savagery. that means more base damage and a higher % bonus.

the flat base damage of both weapins is roughly on par (stormheart is only marginally better there), but stormheart is slower, so all that flat damage you stacked (eye of storm relic aura etc.) is multiplied by a lower factor.

also, using the chains of anguish (belt) is brave :slight_smile: the life steal and % total speed make it tempting, but that debuff can be really deadly if it proccs in a bad moment…

Thank you for answer OP question. I kinda figured that was why it was higher… had the same question a month ago when was first getting on the game…
