I consider myself in fine company!

Also looking at you, you useless pair of Briarthornes. ā€œPet Tauntā€, my dead ass. Oh and you too, don’t you think you can evade blame either, hell doggie.

You should see how the big ā€˜K’ ignored my skeletons…

Do skeletons even taunt? My usual tactic is to wait till after 50% target health is down before I cast anything like CoF. This time, he simply just jumped right on me and totally ignored the Primal Spirit, Briarthornes, and even the Salazar harbinger I think I had up. Even though I held off doing anything to aggro…

Well, I guess the raven’s dining well tonight…

Not only did they not taunt but I think they pointed the way to my character… But you are correct - I don’t believe skellies have taunt in their arsenal. But they could have at least taken a swing at K.

Kaisan actually killing someone. That’s new.

Considering this was my hardcore variant of a build I used to take Crate (in softcore - I’m not crazy), I was actually quite surprised. The only other hardcore death I have had was a mid-level build that got immobilized in a tree while the Guardian of Solael repeatedly doom bolted. Pathing glitch.

Back when I was still playing HC, it was Commander Lucius who gave me cold sweats.

Oh, and also screw Bolvar. At least he’s skippable.

He’s much more dangerous in high SR than in the wild. Though I guess that’s true with all the Nemesis’.

Valdaran has been my new killer lately. Can usually kill him pretty quickly but sometimes he just teleports on me and one-shots me instantly.

I always found Kaisan too weak honestly, no matter where i fight him.

But in general i find expansion Nemeses too weak at the moment. Which is funny because they used to be overtuned and the vanilla Nemeses used to be the weak ones, but now it’s the other way around.

Who told you to pick a fight with kaisan?

Since I haven’t HC’d yet in GD, what happens when you try to enter a game in ghost form?

He really sucks in SR, especially for pierce melee builds.

You can’t, simple. That character is dead and can’t be loaded into the game anymore.

That does make the most sense. I am used to the one life games of old. With those, you don’t see your ghost. You die and it’s game over, start a new game.

With the limited life games, you start again at the last ā€˜save’ or ā€˜safe’ point. Once those lives are used up, then it’s game over, start a new game.

I didn’t know if the Crate devs had a wicked sense of humor and would allow the character to load and roam around, but not interact with anything, especially scouting new territory.

I know In D3, you have the option to archive dead HC characters. I take it in GD, you either keep the dead HC character in the load screen or delete it?

You could use GDStash to revive it if you wanted to, but there’s no way to ingame. So yes, you either leave it there as a ghostly reminder of your failure or delete it.

GDStash? I thought that was just for Grimarillion storing loots, so you don’t have to make a ton of mule characters… like I did.

If not, I can understand reviving a glitched death. Those suck and are beyond the player’s control, even in SC. I have been stuck in tress, walls, floors, even mobs and couldn’t do anything but take a beating and die. Then again, it’s SC so I really don’t care. Heck, I don’t care if I can’t reach my death marker/gravestone to recover a portion of my experience points. It’s easy enough to recoup experience loss in GD. At L100, I really don’t care since there isn’t an exp loss penalty.

I thought, if I do play HC in GD, I’ll do the old ā€˜esc’ and restart the game trick and hope that I was fast enough not to get a death. Then again, that’s only when I get glitched. Any other HC death is fine with me, especially if I get lazy and play fast a loose. SPLAT! Oops! I forgot to stack fire resist and got one shotted with a firebomb. Well… that just happened.

At least it’s not online. I’ve lost so many online HC characters due to rubberbanding, lag spikes, screen freezes (followed by super rapid movement of everything on screen), horrible red bar latency, environmental glitches, ā€˜unknown damage,’ and of course the unkillable mob of doom (usually a low-end common mob). Sometimes I can get lucky with closing the game, but that is usually around 20%.

No, GDStash can be used for vanilla game. That’s mainly what it’s for though it will work with various mods so long as you set it for one of them and import the database.
