The “Doonnn, Doonn” from Korvaak when you crit him - I find it very satisfying.
Wouldn´t it improve gameplay fun for everyone if we had that with every crit on every enemy?
Maybe just some slight … bone breaking sound or whatever. Not too dominant ofc, but something?
I know - late end stage of the game and so on. But it maybe could be simple to implement.
What ya think?
Wait, is it that weird sound I never figured out what it means:
About 1/2 a second long, sounding like you open the window in your car a little bit whilst driving?
Sounds a bit as if a choir of ghosts saying “Door”.
Sry, just dont have the means right now to record that.
Ah, its the same noise as when you´re HITTING an enemy with a flashbang.
But
I do NOT always hear this noise when e.g. Deadly Aim goes active.
So. What´s up? Can it be easily “overwritten” by some other cries or ambient noises?
Yet another observation:
Lately I went so sunken reliquiary at lvl 12 (I could NOT CRIT ANYONE there - 0%).
When I placed my Grasping Vines, the whole mob sounded that mentioned MOAN every tick.
So: My conclusion is, that this MOAN is not the indication of a critical strike at all. What does that moan mean then? And how do the crits sound like if not like that?
in my experience, enemies frequently (not always) moan in pain when they’re critted or stunned/variation of stun. though i’m sure crate had added a sfx limit to the frequency and numbers of enemies moaning in pain. some enemies’ moan of pain have very low sound volume though. who knows, maybe each enemies’ volume of moaning are adjusted differently per file? or is it the same across the board according to the volume control in options?
about korvaak’s DUNN!!! moans though, it is much more frequent and painful to hear if you play summoner build with pets that crit alot (i’ve not tried this myself, only hearing it from other summoner players).
oh yeah, i noticed that if enemies are gibbed, most of them only produce the sounds of giblet/gore sfx. it gets boring for a while. so i personally recommend turning off gore in option if you want to hear enemies moaning painfully in death while being ragdolled rather than hearing limited collection of squishy flesh bits of giblets sfx.
