Inquisitor WPS are really strong overall, and combined with Fire Strike the results are just insane. I have always thought that Akdong build was probably the most efficient setup for making a Purifier. But then came this thread and it makes me realize that Dagallon set can do miracle too in a completely different manner (I mean damage type is different, but for sure gameplay stays the same). To be honest I was thinking that Dagallon set was a design failure, but I was wrong.
So I am quite curious now: which of this setup is stronger? Is there more possibilities?
For crucible, lightning should be a lot better, cause dagallon pierce through clears like crazy. Single target akdong probably wins but I haven’t really compared both.
As for possibilities, full dagallon works well too, still lightnig focus but with more RR in exchange for less weapon and % damage
Maxed static strike is a monster. You have 79% chance to add around 6k to your damage per projectile. So if you proc storm spread, dw gets out 10 projectiles at 16/10, which is easy for dagallon. Imagine all 16 of those proccing storm spread, and piercing through enemies cause dagallon. Add 25% converted brimstone that pierces through if you use cindertouch. Also even if you don’t proc storm spread, chilling rounds has 6 projectiles with dw and bursting round is a natural nuke, so you don’t fully rely on RNG.
That’s exactly what I experienced in Campaign. Akdong’s build is AoE good and single-target broken/OP. I’ve farmed Lokarr 1.254.937 times with this build to farm my leg’ collection.
Lightning is single target good and AOE OP. Perfect for Ancient of grove runs and other dungeons.
True. But beronath should still be better, both purple and blue. You want as much points in static as you can and you’ll reach 21/12 only with 2x astral ruminations ring, ulzuin shoulders then +demo in helm, ammy and belt. You can skip beronath and get a demo relic (ulzuin) but ignaffar relic is just too good for this build.
Should still work with sabo but your only multi hit wps is AQC which only hits 3 times even with dw (correct me.if I’m wrong here). Waaaaay less effective compared to ranged.
How would you build it with double Dagallon’s Destroyer? Focus on Bursting Round?
Do you have to always focus on one element? Because nobody seems to follow the elemental path. But I think Blind Sage/Elemental Seeker is not ridiculous and is easy to get since you would go for elemental storm anyway. No?
Yeah bursting round would be the way to go. I’d probably work on maxing hardcapping Fire strike and explosive strike, but I’ll need to look at the numbers if it’s worth it.
Elemental should work with dagallon, however it’s not so attractive because lightning is so good :p. I do have an elemental build for 2h tho.
That’s a bit outdated but is still good. My current version uses seekers and a bit cheaper gear instead of meteor/leviathan and can clear 170 on 9-9:30 mins in my laggy laptop. You can also build it as deceiver which will be a bit faster in clearing but will have hp problems without premium gear. I’ll share a link when I get home.
I am not sure about explosive strike. Burn damages won’t stack and without damage conversion you would not benefit from the flat physical damage. And the WD doesn’t gain much from overcapping. I would not put more than 12 pts in it I think.

Here’s my Tactician, a bit cheaper than the one at my thread, and can still be made a lot cheaper with direwolf, which frees up pants slot too. Clears cruci without worries in 9 mins or less.
