“Most powerful” isn’t a valid or useful question. Different builds are good in different ways; there’s no absolute total power rating that lets you compare builds in an objective numeric way.
Do you want to be good at crucible, or roguelikes? Are you looking for an Avatar of Mogdrogen killer? Do you prefer a ranged or melee playstyle? Are you playing hardcore or soft? Do you care more about clear speed or boss time?
There’s no best build, there are only better or worse builds for a specific purpose or playstyle. What do you want to play?

I want a build mainly for the campaign endgame, roguelikes and stuff.
Doesn’t really matter if it’s ranged or melee, as long as it’s powerful, but I have to say I have a sweet spot for the Fire Strike build, don’t know how it would work for Oathkeeper…
I was following a Purifier DW build, but I guess Fire was nerfed right? So I don’t know what to play anymore

I haven’t seen anything about a fire nerf in patch notes? Was it fire strike or just fire in general that was nerfed? What kind of nerf and where can I see it in the patch notes?

Yes, Lightning Mage Hunter AAR and Aether Spellbinder AAR are the best builds. For my personal enjoyment.
Warlord is an incredibly powerful option just because of the sheer amount of OA, DA and other defenses you can get with the combination.
Warlord is essentially in the same boat that Death Knight was in and can use the same gear, with the major difference being no Mark of Torment (a fucking insane defensive ability). Because you can farm Krieg’s Set anything that can utilize is already well off.
Personally, I want to get my hands on a Mythical Wrath of Tenebris to try a Chaos/Fire version, particularly because I really like Occultist as a class so stylistically it just sounds cool to me, though I’m not convinced it’ll be anywhere close to Warlord’s potential (especially if you DW Beronath, Reforged).
Lightning-based Paladin (Inquisitor secondary) is something I also want to try but I’m also not convinced it’d be better than Soldier. Mostly because Word of Renewal and Aura of Censure don’t make up for the insane defense capability Soldier has, something I think Oathkeeper actually sort of lacks by default.

Not the most powerful but the most flexible and versatile is Sentinel. You can support almost every type of damage: elemental, acid, vitality, physical, chaos.
I haven’t seen many of those retaliation builds people were hyping before release. How are they doing? Was thinking of rolling a retaliation warlord myself but i know next to nothing about that kind of builds.

I tried a few retaliation warlolds. Such intense, skill-based gameplay! You wont believe how much easier is to play my typical caster compared to this complexity.
Man, crucible never felt more intense and lifetreathening.
