What should I do?

I have killed the warden in the first act. I believe I am in act II now. There is this person who asks me to come with him and I did, but I went somewhere totally different. After a few more restarts, I have ignored this person.

Please answer if you can with no spoilers.

Question is, if I speak to him now and go with him, does this start one of the expansions or is it part of the main story in vanilla Grim Dawn. If now part of vanilla Grim Dawn should I wait and do it, or go ahead and do it and bounce back and forth?

Just not sure if I should go or not or wait. If I should wait, why would I want to do so?

It is an expansion, I would ignore him for now. Act 2 is north of Devil’s Crossing

As to why to wait, the area is more difficult and you can spoil parts of the main game when you progress too far in that area.

That guy starts FG expansion but even if you go with him nothing gets disrupted. You can still continue your usual act route, just teleport back to Devil’s Crossing and go on from there. And you can ofc finish FG part first then continue to vanilla and Ashes of Malmouth but since it’s your first playthrough I suggest you stay in the chronological route. There is a bridge north of the DC, repair that and go for act 2.

LOL @Evil_Baka I have looked for something like that. That never came up the first time. Now I see it. Wonder if it was patched in lately lol. I guess it’s me. D’OH!
