Whats the main difference between 2H axes, swords + Mauls?

Hi guys,

Currently playing a 2H warder. I’m using which ever 2H weapon gives me the most DPS.

But what is the acutal difference between 2H’ed axes, swords and mauls?

i expect it’s the amount of pierce damage

Swords are a little faster and have more pierce damage than axes, which are a little faster and tend to have more pierce damage than maces.

Also swords have a narrow damage range and maces have a large one, with axes in between the two.

Great thanks for the feedback! What does piercing dmg acutally do? bypass armour?

It’s a separate damage type. It does indeed ignore armor, but if you have a lot of bonuses to physical damage you might do less damage overall with a high pierce% weapon.
