The spirit doesn’t sell anything unique so I’m a little curious if there’s something hidden or if this vendor is just completely useless outside of an occasional rare component for sale (usually Hallowed Ground or Dread Skull from experience).

Which MIs are sold there? All I’ve ever seen are the spectral weapons and shields. Unless I haven’t been paying attention and you can buy items like Alkamos’ Scythe.

This merchant used to be amazing back during build 19 or whenever SoT first came out. Now though, with the advent of higher tier relics and easier ways to find blueprints, he’s kind of outdated.
The Rouge-like merchants are a bit out of date with the current game, they were added back when the dungeons were new, and have not really expanded past then. They sell low level relics, but do not upgrade their inventory in later game modes (Which, if they did, would help keep them a LOT more relevant if they sold higher tier relic BPs in each difficulty).
As is, they only sell MI’s native to the dungeon/faction, but those are low value anyway, and there has only been one time I bought one from him when it was just an insanely good modifier on one of his spectral swords for my SS focused Nightblade.
I’d personally change them to both have that relic change I suggested earlier, as well add higher tier component parts to them, and make them have really high rates of rolling rare prefixes on their gears. This would make them a lot more valuable, to the point I would actively check them to see if they roll a double rare MI, which are powerful enough to compete with legendaries most of the time if it’s a good roll.
Do that, and suddenly, his and that one in BoC become seriously valuable people to check out, both being one of the easier ways to try and find high tier Recipe BPs (Instead locked behind a key, and having to find them in the dungeon itself).
Also, for the love of god, let us sell stuff to them already.
I was always under the assumption that something like Alkamos’ Scythe was a Monster Infrequent whereas a normal spectral shield was just a normal spectral shield. Back in the early B20 days, people would only refer to specific boss drops as MIs and not just any green item that dropped (ie. Warden’s weapon and shield, Alkamos’ Scythe, Killrian’s weapon, Pit Fighter’s Axe, etc.).
