Very early in the name, usually before I have a population of more than 30 or any gold, I start getting messages about raiders attacking. But I never see these raiders. I can see their camps but never the actual enemies. Is it just an automatic game mechanic as long as a raider camp exists?
Current game, a raid camp attacked villagers in turn 4, the raid icon stayed on the screen after all the raiders were killed, turned out a single raider hadn’t died and revived to continue the attack, took two villagers with him before dying.
Raiders don’t necessarily spawn at the camps, seems to be pretty random where they’ll actually turn up.
I had one lot spawn on the other side of a massive lake and they had to walk for about 10 RL minutes to reach my town.
Wonder if it’s possible for them to spawn on location where there’s no available path to your settlement?
I’ve seen raider attacks where half of them were eaten by wolves. It’s entirely possible that they were mauled by bears on the way in, or something.

Yep, one game a raid camp was nearby a wolf den, the wolves just kept killing the raiders.
