I was thinking that as well. I’ve never been a huge fan of Arcanist. Maybe this new mastery will finally make how I ideally wanted to play possible.
Perhaps. But if Arcanist feels like a mage that invokes magic at will, Inquisitor has these runes and seals.
Oh for sure, there are clear differences between the two thematically (and probably also gameplay wise, but you would know more about that than I)
I just have a feeling Inquisitor is going to be my favorite class when I try it. It’s a versatile elemental class that pairs well with almost anything from the looks of it.

Tree will change depending on what gear I get with + skills to.
Also not sure if they have updated versions of Fang of Ch’thon & Orb of the Black Flame or not.
Shaman + Necro, but not for a pet build. I’m looking to try out some new vit builds.

I think I’m goin to play a lot of inquisitors in the future, but I’m going to start with a necromancer-occultist plaguemancer

I am itching to play ALL Inquisitor combinations. But I can not yet. :furious:
So I´m currently playing a Shaman Gunslinger and just add the Inquisitor later.
And be a … ah … Vindicator. Yay. Although this build is pretty nasty already.
I will definitely play Demo+Inq DW gunslinger and Necro+Occultist/Shaman summoner. Not sure which one first, I guess summoner will be more gear-friendly.
Bit late to the party… but i plan to delete all my old chars/items and go necro-primary either summoner or mess around with the life stealing channel (with reverant constellation proc, a match made in heaven those two imo) as my first fresh char
I used to hold onto my chars in such games with a serious fervor but after playing xcom in ironman recently i think holding on too much may be counterproductive to the fun.
ok i got another, now i’m not sure which one i will roll first : Inquis/shaman (can’t remember the name) gunslinger with savagery and elemental mastery+storm spread as main weapon skills then storm totem (i wonder how the mythical light defender set will be) or storm box as support skill.
edit : i was about to post but noticed last post of the thread is mine so i will just add this here.
I got another one : inquis/arcanist elemental build rifle, IEE, beronath component attack replacer and the full line of inquis procs. Gear wise the thing to drool over is that set once seen in a stream (rifle inquis set) i believe it was called runecaster.
