I know the different smiths have different items they can do. The Tyrant Hold smith is limited to vanilla items. But Mythical Starfire is marked as AoM in grimtools. Does that mean I need to go to the Malmouth smith to have a chance of crafting it?
That usually just means the item was added to the game with that expansion.
Tyrant hold can only craft base game items/legends below lvl 80
Bella can craft AoM, and Algosia can craft AoM+FG items, which means you have a better chance at Bella if it’s an AoM item since her pool is smaller
but in general it’s huge rng to gamble at the celestial smiths either way, and only something you should really do if you have a crapload of excess mats to spend
Or because you have become truly desperate because of RNG crapping all over you during traditional SR/Totem/Nemesis etc. farming runs…
Isn’t Starfire an epic ring ?
I was under the impression that celestial smiths will only create legendary items…
should create epics on elite iirc, but maybe that’s just if char is a certain lower level? ![]()
I crafted 5 things at the AoM smith and got 5 purples. I’ve been running SR31, and getting 15 purples and 3 blues each run. Looks like I’ll have to farm totems if I want my Starfire.
the craft screen will tell you right away whether you get legend or epic, test crafting shouldn’t be necessary aside from item level confirmation
edit yup,

so basically it’s impossible to gamble/rang craft endgame epics ![]()
Aspirant Crucible is your friend if you want to farm epic itens. For example, start on wave 100 with the extra spawn and cash-out on 120.
Yeah, killing whole waves in 5 seconds will become a bit tedious after a while, but low level Crucible/SR will give much more epics than legendaries, so it is better to farm epics.
