Why change the yellow recipes to green?

Hello all,
I am not playing the public test version, but I am following the changelog and I don’t understand the purpose of this change:

Right now, as explained in the game guide, magic quality crafting recipes can roll up to two rare affixes, while rare quality crafting recipes can roll only one affix.

Now, with this change, how will a player be able to tell that, for example, Trollheart Waistguard can roll 2 affixes and Bysmiel Lethal Girdle can roll only 1?

What is the purpose of this change anyway?

as for distinguishing single affix crafts from double affix i couldnt’ say for now
but Z said the change was necessary to accommodate new FoA system Crafting rares - #4 by Zantai

Thanks for the link, Gnomish_Inquisition! That explains the reason.

Unfortunately, the problem of not knowing whether the item can generate one or two affixes before wasting materials remain.

I have always considered the “rare-base” recipes bad when compared to the “magic-base” recipes.

I think this is maybe more indicative of the fact that it’s time for this “feature” to go.

I’m not really sure what benefit having it provides, anyways; it’s not like the base-rare craftables of old were that good/endgame viable, anyways.

weirder still considering how fat stat’ed the 90 yellows became vs 90 rares
unless conversion is seen as like a balance detractor/“not universally useful”, where the green class belts would be, despite fewer stats

If you guys didn’t know

I guess yellow items and green items will have different ascended bonus pools.
