Why do I think removal of partial components is a bad idea.

Hello, guys. I noticed that it is a fairly popular request: to remove partial components, and instead drop complete ones, at a lower rate.

I have two characters in Veteran right now, freshly started after a total wipe, past 1.0. One of them, Battlemage, is nearing Log, just arrived to Necropolis. Second, Conjurer, is recently got to Fort Ikon. Battlemage had 2 pieces of death skull dropped, Conjurer had zero. RNG being RNG, of course, but if some drop for my Conj, I can stash it to Battlemage, and chances of completing it are better that way, than having extremely low chance for a complete component.

Same logic is applied to all other components, rare more than common, ofc. How long do you suppose players will farm Kirian for his soul, if complete-only suggestion made it through? What about component quest rewards, if they offer complete it will make crafting less useful.

That’s my point, anyway, if you think I’m wrong, or have better suggestions of how to implement “complete-only” idea, it would be great to hear it!

I think the main benefit of partial ones actually is that it evens out the RNG

Yeah, exactly same point here

I don’t want them gone, I like Most’s suggestion of a chance of bonus upon completion. He suggested basically an empowered version, which would be cool. I also would like a chance at the old bonus system kicking in.

Evening out distribution and actually using rare partials has been brought up in threads where removing partials was suggested…no need for a separate thread on it.

Oh. Sorry, seems that I missed that. :o
