Build feels awful in SR 65-66. About 50% deathless runs. Build also has no chance against Mogdrogen, one of the easiest Celestials. Is there something that can be tweaked? I previously had no Ghoul but build was way too squishy without it, so I lost some damage for survivability. Kill speed is fast but it seems so damn squishy. My Darkblaze Pyro feels better than this lol. Any tips or pointers?
acid, bleed, aether and chaos overcaps seem low
otherwise on sheet seems fine to me
maybe move some points from SS to Veil for more OA and speed reduct
(for SR)
personal preference of mine is to 1pt break morale if there is issues during chunks, helps interrupt potential annoying enemies standing “in the back”/before you get to kill them
Thanks for advice. Will test later. Lack of AoE means that skill disrupt will help a lot. I also put more points into fighting spirit for greater kill time (lol still chasing those juicy red crits) and I will one point blade trap for a fail-safe maybe.
more points in whirling death, or adding in zolhan instead of maxing out markovian will give you more aoe
(you have DA shred on Rylok anyway)
Try Zolhan instead of Markovian for more AoE, or Zolhan instead of Execution if you don’t want to give up flat DA shred(you can invest blitz to one point aswell). Bladetwister also worth it for single target.
oh yea, and this might just be me, never actually tested comparison, but i like Shadows on Ring of Steel because i use RoS 24/7 for the circle of slaughter debuff, and i only use SS to move
filling in less “interrupts”/less piano also gives you more uptime on Belgo strikes+wps, and by the looks of it/you having Shadows on SS seems like you’re “spamming” SS, which could maybe be a dps interrupt?(again speculation, never actually tested the diff)
Does multiple DA shred not stack?
not when it’s same type
flat/n’th reduced debuffs never stack - highest applies
general rule; same source debuff never stacks, highest applies:
A: -% (minus symbol is important) stacks infinitely from different source
B: %reduced (no minus symbol) you get 1, regardless of source, highest appliest
C: flat/n’th reduced, you get 1 regardless of source, highest applies
a^+b+c = total debuff
Is Zolhan better than Markovians? And should I drop a Belgo Slicer for a Derma one?
Edit: thanks for the DA shred tips.
you need a well rolled derma slicer to be better than Belgo i think
you can easily lose some points on markovian and bump zolhan up for increased aoe (i don’t remember the +target increase pointbreaks for zolhan offhand)
Now the big question that’s been nagging me all along: should I drop Belgo’s shears completely? I have heard much talk about it being one of the worst WPS regarding animation time.
And I really do appreciate your time and answers, sir Gnome.
the good builders would probably say yes
i believe banana’s and madlees last feedback on it was that shears, even with belgo support mods, was “objectively worse” than unmodified zolhan,
as a casual player/runner/killer i can’t tell the difference
weirdest part, which i mentioned in that thread, that unlike AQC which have been hated on for years, the shears dislike seem new, but they still said it was a dps loss compared to zolhan, should be visible on training dummy
as far as i’m concerned, if you lack AoE then you add more, you don’t replace one with another - but that’s just little casual me speaking
So I’m definitely overthinking it. Certainly not a speed runner nor do I want to be, just a filthy casual.
Although I don’t have experience with this build, this seems weird. Did you use pots to reach 80% Lightning / Cold overcaps? Also he can crit you with your DA, possibly when your War Cry is down? Do you pay attention if your War Cry debuff is on enemies?
Your Aether (regarded as the most important), Chaos and Acid overcaps seem bad. Are they better in-game / do you use pots? I don’t think overcaps are for the lols and 3 guides / sources I checked in the past recommend various numbers but let’s say ~30% on average. For example 0% Aether overcap you receive 2.5 times the Aether damage after a 30% Aether or Reduced Resistances debuff. Last Lee’s Blademaster update Blademaster, Level 100 (GD 1.1.9.1) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator has 40% Aether overcap and yet he likes to squeeze every single second out of his runs.
Sorry, I’ve just noticed
but I think it’s worth emphasizing since in OP’s previous thread they were not at a proper level either.
resist overcaps are definitely important, at least for Crucible and more so Shattered Realm where you don’t get cruci buffs to slightly compensate (should still have base overcaps in Cruci imo)
it can be sorta tough at times to get the overcaps on Belgo, i had one where i luckily got angrim pierce resist craft bonus which helped me sort my pierce res
but “tough” or not, it’s not something to be skimped on, going from 0 Aether res overcap to 30-40 is pretty big in terms of “anti squish”, bleed can be more situational, but in the encounters where it matters, it will matter, so best to have them anyway
4 most important overcaps are elemental and aether, after that you have stuff like vitality, acid, pierce chaos and bleed - it’s easier to get away with a lower chaos overcap than it is an elemental/aether overcap
pierce is probably also one of those that can forgiven a little depending on content (SR 75 Fabby actual hurts now, so pierce/bleed overcaps on him has become noticeable if you get Executed)
bleed is usually more of threat in heavy aoe scenarios or with low lifesteal/heal and running out of targets to hit
acid/poison can in certain fights be stacked on you insanely fast and insanely high, and usually it’s an environment with debuffs, so 0 acid overcap is a good way to die to poison even if you have decent lifesteal
i try to aim for 45 ele/aether res overcap if possible, if i struggle i settle for 30-35+
acid pierce bleed vitality chaos i can be ok with on 20 overcap if i stick to SR65-66 farm,
if you start doing sr 75+ or crucible 150+ you might want to add a little more and bump ex vit up to 30 along with acid and bleed (pierce too for Fabby SR75 encounters)
Hmm I need to git gud at overcapping my resistances it seems.
