Why Korvak's Storm-Blade is a sword?

Hi, friends. Recently I returned to GD after a rather long break and got a Korvak’s Storm-Blade with some decent affixes on it and thus I wanna make a build using it. But why on earth is it a sword, not a dagger? A similar blade, its twin, Korvak’s Burning-Blade, is a dagger though. Not only Storm Blade deals base physics and pierce (and doesn’t have innate physics-to-lightning conversion), but it also requires a ton of cunning to be equipped.

Previously/originally, it was a sword as well. Storm-Blade should probably move to being a dagger though as it has “caster weapon” written all over it - innate cast speed and heavily supports a caster ability in Stun Jacks.

It’s what i call the “Grim Fate effect”. A weapon made for a playstyle that would benefit more if that weapon was a different weapon in the same category, i.e sword to dagger.

Yeah, I know there is a slow process of migrating from swords to daggers for certain blades (e.g. Salazar’s blade), and I’m happy to see this is happening, it is a reasonable shift, but still there are some inconsistencies in this process

Another potential answer could be to avoid it get the Magi/Seer/Interogator prefix since some sword MI could get almost broken if it get CDR prefix like on Bloodlord Vengeance if dual wielded and using virtue helmet.

Still the most reasonable answer because in game it’s used by melee enemy, hence the sword base. But I would like it if some of the caster sword be moved to dagger base.
