Why not GoG?

I buy my games only from GoG. When will this be available on GoG?

Thanks

Isn’t GoG only for old games that have been patched to work on modern systems and resolutions?

GoG is for old and modern games

From the Q&A transcript from summer 2022:

Now that Farthest Frontier has left Early Access they might be working on this. On the other hand they have been fairly busy:

Then again I do not know, if GOG integration requires their key developers…

If they release the game on GoG they will earn more money, they really have nothing to lose here.

I’m waiting for the moment it becomes available to buy it.

Crate have never been that focused on money first, though of course it’s nice when what they make sells well. For GD they’ve said that 95% of their sales are from Steam. Couple that with the difficulties of setting up/supporting on GOG. I don’t think it’s happening myself. If it was I believe they would have wanted to release it there when the game was ready for fully release on Steam.

It’s a shame because I’d like to buy it there too.

Ugh yeah, it’s a total bummer! Let’s see what happens hey

Not everyone uses steam. Then sell it on itch.io or something, I don’t use steam.

If steam shut down their system you lose your paid games. With GoG it preservation games and it’s DRM free which i love.

You work hard for your money in this world…

If the world is destroyed by an asteroid, even GoG can’t help.

No logic in your comment, sorry. We are talking about preservation, and steam don’t give you that.

I purchased the Crate Entertainment Bundle on Steam so I already own FF. But, I too would prefer to have a GOG copy for the same reasons cited by the OP.

I keep hearing about challenges for indie devs when it comes to working with GOG. Timeslip Studios, AtomTeam and now Crate. I question where that platform’s priorities lie, considering that they support literal porn but don’t allow some very good indie titles.

GoG is just hassle free man, let’s hope all their games go to GoG!

I’m not on Steam but I’m interested in the game, if only to support Crate Entertainment. I’d appreciate a GOG release as well.
