If you learn a skill and it’s modifier and check on it on the shortcut bar, the skill will only show what the main skill does, instead of showing the complete bonuses granted by the modifiers…
Example: If you have Field Command with Squad Tactics and hoover your mouse on it while it’s on your skill bar, it will only show the Energy reserved, the radius, the offensive, defensive and armor bonuses, but won’t show the All Damage and Attack Speed bonuses from the modifier…
It would be nice if it displayed the complete info of these skills on the shortcut bar, rather than having to open the skill window to check the bonuses separately…
Also, while we are at it… is it possible to make so that the Exp from Devotion skills attached to our skills will also be displayed if we hoover our mouse on them while being on the shortcut bar? I think that it would be really helpful too.
Titan Quest had the same problem if I recall. I’d be all for the upgrade nodes showing their effects on the quickbar tooltips, as well as celestial power xp.
Yeah but in Titan Quest those descriptions were way more blunt and you could get a better idea of what that skill does. Skills in this game have some pretty vague flavor text i’ll call it, and for some of them just by reading the text you don’t have any idea what the skill actually does because it doesn’t say.
Such as? From what I can recall, every skill is pretty descriptive but it has been a while since I played any other classes than my Pyromancer and Druid.
If you’re unsure of what a skill does or you think the skill description is too vague, post it here and I’m sure someone can clarify it for you and if it’s really vague, I’m sure the devs wouldn’t mind spicing it up a bit for newer players.
I would agree that the flavor texts are too fluffy and vague. I guess most people here have played the game enough to know what does what, but as a newcomer it takes some effort to get a quick overview over the available skills.
For me that culminated in sticking to one mastery and picking two skills that fit my play style and not bother with the rest. That’s fine with me for now although I know that I’m probably missing out on the deeper aspects of the game.
Granted, I may be an extreme case, but personally I think I may have more fun trying out different classes if it became more intuitive to know each skill’s effect in a way that makes figuring out which combination of skills works well together.
