Why aren’t your games on Epic Games?
Because they have pain in the ass mandatory requirements to integrate their online services into the game if it has MP, and we are not going to force that on everyone for a few more sales on another storefront.

There’s also criticism on Epic other than Steam or GoG iirc about putting spyware on your pc if you play one of their games in the store.

At Epic games, you can get a discount or refund of part of the funds in the form of track points.Purchase! Free giveaways (I missed The Outer World).
A simple interface where you can simply buy games without upgrading your account.
I don’t need anything else from the store.
And the fact that they spy on you is that any smartphone does this. We’re not in North Korea.
Wait. You can simply buy games on steam - no need to upgrade your account. You can also leave reviews, check reviews, discuss etc.
And no, the fact that epic is a spyware is a fact. It reads files it shouldn’t read (like your steam folder, among others) and sends data about them back to China. No one does it by accident.
