Will my laptop run this game?

Hi,

I’m looking to buy this laptop for my school usage but I’m thinking if it will run this game smoothly?

It’s the Asus zenbook ux 305. The base model is 4gb ram and 128gb of ssd but if need be I can get the 8gb version of it.

Any thoughts?

Do you have a dedicated graphics card?

In an Asus, probably has a nice video card in it…

Thanks for the replies guys! It’s sort of an ultra book and it’s not a gaming laptop so I’m just wondering if it will run something like Grim Dawn.

Anyone looked through the specs and can tell me if it’s viable?

It uses the Intel HD 515 graphics.

I have no idea how good the graphic is so her is a link to Notebookcheck:

CPU is the 900MHz Intel Core M3-6Y30 (2.2Ghz with Turbo Boost).

I’d recommend avoiding any laptops that are not meant for gaming if you intend to play any games, even including Grim Dawn. Some laptops especially those with 4gbs ram and not so good graphics cards won’t run games too well, and the laptops themselves are prone to overheating. Laptops like that also more than likely won’t last to long.

I myself use an Asus Rog laptop meant for gaming, it’s really big it has a big back that has lots of slits to maximize air flow which keeps the laptop cool. I do believe it has 16gbs of ram, really good graphics card, it’s an i7 with 1tbHD.

Honestly if I were you I’d also avoid getting an solid state drive, and go for a hard disk drive. I know many folks like ssds but hdds are ultimately better and they last longer. Also make sure to at least get 8gbs of ram, at least 1tb of space, and a good graphics card. A good idea is to be willing to fork over $800-1,000 or so for a good laptop that you can safely and effectively game on. Mine was around $1,500 well worth it.

Ps. 128 ssd is also not a lot of space

I also recommend the Asus Rog, they are pretty good in my expierence

ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH71
15.6-Inch IPS 1920 x 1080
Intel i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz
1TB 7200 RPM
16GB DDR3
GeForce GTX 960M 2GB DDR

I run GD on a AMD A6 Apu @1.80 Ghz at high settings and have no problems.

I don’t honestly know the performance difference between integrated graphics and an APU but im below specs and i can still play wonderfully.

just watch your temps though… i almost always take my laptop apart and drill holes in the chassis to make more air flow (yes i cover them in a mesh to keep dust out ;))

And honestly i see alot of people with better rigs having issues running the game. it isn’t a definite fact but ive seen it a lot on the forums lately.

i guess just try and see what happens.
