Something very similar to this was discussed in Uber’s thread. It’s an interesting concept, but I don’t really like any of the setups the three of us have come up with (this was mine, for reference). It’d be interesting to see this area explored a bit more, I’ve always liked the idea of Stormbringer + Wraiths but never found a way to make it stand out.
How does the Diviner’s set bonus for four set pieces work, according to which the reaped spirit lives for 15 seconds, since it now lives for 18 seconds anyway?
Hi Maya! This is my first character stepping in GD, and I’ve been cruising through so far. I’m hitting a huge wall in ultimate though (89). Stuff is taking ages to die, and I’m on the squishier side. Could you perhaps take a gander and see if something appears off?
My problem with stormbringer wraiths is it’s actually too much lightning damage on a class that can’t support it. With Lightning aether your damage is split up enough to the point that one of the classes not supporting one of the damage types is fine.
It feels necessary to use procs that do fire/cold damage as such to fix the problems because there’s not enough RR to do good damage to lightning resistance enemies. Would have to change setup pretty significantly for that. But based off the Grim Internals numbers, like 70-75% of the damage was lightning even when not using arcane bomb and using the bysmiel set.
Lightning RR is fine at 97%. The only fight where it really makes any difference is perhaps Avatar of Mogdrogen.
I should also add that for Aether damage, you have to rely on Spectral Wrath too and I don’t like that you need to get hit for it to proc. So I actually prefer it without the Aether damage component tbh.
It’s funny because I actually preferred the lightning/aether damage variant. But then again I was trying on my build with unstable anomaly blight fiends too, which holy shit that was a hard build to play.
I don’t disagree on the spectral wrath part. Interestingly you only need to get it to 8 before heavy diminishing returns start happening on the aether res. And it’s nice that only one thing needs to hit you, and debuffs/auras trigger it and it happens in an area of effect. So in the end it’s not terrible because it actually tends to happen a fair bit. Just… not sure how much threat it pulls.
Hey, quick couple questions on the build (still kinda learning the ropes).
Why the Marks of the Illusion on the rings? Seems they don’t really bring much to the table, unless I’m misunderstanding how the buffs are applied - it does nothing for the pets, and very little for the character compared to some other components.
Is eldritch mirror really better than bindings of bysmiel for the chest? Same reason, really.
And finally, is there benefit to having both seals of might on the MH and OH? Does the Presence of Might buff from them stack if you have multiple?
