Windmill ... won't put flour in granaries?

Hello,
Here is my mill:

As you can see, Jeth & Jarrud can’t work although they do have grain to work with. My only explanation is that their storage is full (although 10 grain makes 10 flour … but I guess they don’t take the same place in storage).

They only restart working when my bakers come and take some flour (thus freeing space in the mill).
Why don’t they simply transfer the flour in one of both granaries (there is space left in them) ?

My guess is that if a single baker is on his way to get some flour, ALL the flour is blocked in the mill preventing the millers from moving it to the granary. I actually checked when I was blocked, and a single baker was coming and took 62, far less than what is stored in the mill.

Considering it as a bug because they should at least be able to move the remaining 144 flour to the closest granary (which is empty).

By the way, if there was a “setting” in the bakery screen with check-boxes to select where to take the flour from it would be nice (mill, storage, both selected by default).

So, another experiment …

  • I added a second windmill a bit further from all bakeries than the first one (so bakers go to the first one, but this second one can put flour in a granary to “free” the first one)
  • I selected one of the granaries closer to bakeries than both windmills to contain only flour.

And after a bit of time, one of the mills finally got to put flour into the dedicated granary. After that, both my mills would continuously work (productivity went up a lot). Now that they could simply store their flour into the granary I could finally go through all the grain my fields produce.

So that’s it, a single baker wants some flour from a mill, and the mill can’t transfer any to a granary and has to wait.
