Wipe World

Hello everyone! Before creating this topic, I tried to find an answer online, searched forums, reddit, and so on, but only found some indirect information. I’m interested in world wipes (difficulty resets), specifically—whether this process is safe for save files. The thing is, I’m not a fan of leveling up 150 alts (I especially dislike seasonal games like Diablo and PoE) and prefer to focus on a single character. And if I like the game, I usually try to play as “perfectly” as possible (as I see it, of course—everyone has different tastes and understanding of this), including making the small number of “choices” the game offers and the like. Or even replay the story again with the same character. Anyway, that’s not the point—everyone has their quirks

So, the main question, as I mentioned above, is whether the process of deleting the “world” directory (difficulty) is safe. Yes, I did a quick test, and everything works, the difficulty progress resets, and so on, but could this cause any issues with the save file or “new world” in future?

it can cause issues with some triggers/tokens being stored internally in the char data(separate from the quest folder), which can affect a couple quests or interactions/npc locations.
I think mogdrogen quest/shrine/fight and Ravager? or Hidden Path was one such. Lokar quest or such.
Others that were purely rep based, not 100% certain, like Kymon/Vigil encounter could be solved just setting the rep, iirc
but because an NPC can be tied to/related to another quest can then be impacted. Like not having Ulgrim there able to start the breadcrumb quest/move the initial NPC to the right spot because he’s chilling in the void or something

It’s kinda hard to say exactly which specific ones were or might be affected, but i’m sure there was a couple atleast at some point - i’ve not tried wiping the folder in a looong time, or heard from anyone recently that did so

also worth to remember, you will get rewards again, so your char will gain more skill points and attributes points than “vanilla”, since Kasparov etc quest+rewards get reset

Hmm, I thought it would be the same as with the notes, which can’t be found in the game world again after you pick them up for the first time. Sad :frowning:

one thing you can do, although it will “break” your preference approach, is to make 1 alt char
level it to 100 before reaching Ultimate (shouldn’t be super hard for an alt/using Merit and XP pot)
then when it’s reached level 100, load it into Ultimate, and make backup copy of the char before it does anything.
Then whenever you wish to replay the blank world you just swap in the base/template version and do things/clear the Ult world on that
This might also then make it easier should you desire to replay the world, without levelling up, as a different class, since you can just use GDstash to reset the class on the active save without it affecting your backup/“template” save

Yes, that’s also an option, but I’d like to be able to go through all three difficulties in a more, let’s say, planned way—building up reputation with certain factions, making sure not to miss any missable quests, and so on. But oh well, I guess I’ll have to make a test character. Fortunately, I really enjoyed the game’s story and questing (which is quite rare for games in this genre).

if that’s the case then i’d probably just really recommend embracing the altoholism.
Since GD doesn’t have seasons etc it’s really simple and comfy to play the level train on your terms. - heck you can even “freeze” the game and not update it even if you dont’ choose to stay on the legacy 9.8 version.

There will be certain minor interactions that will be class specific, that you wouldn’t experience just levelling ex a Warlord or Spellbreaker or Elementalist.
*Absolutely nothing quest changing or content gating, just couple lines of NPC dialogue and at most a faction reaction “we don’t like you go away” type stuff that can be planned for.
And if someone does enjoy the campaign, imo one of the best ways to re-enjoy that is levelling through the actual campaign, as the different builds, instead of just resetting the quests(mainly because scaling impact i think/redoing quests as level 100 doesn’t have quite the same feel to it), but that’s ofc my own perspective on GD.

Unsure how much you’ve played/how far you’ve gotten, but

spoiler?

you also can’t get everything “at the same time” on a single char, since some stuff is mutually exclusive. Which you can semi sort across the 3 playthroughs ofc, but still ends up with some parts out after the final interaction, where having atleast an alt, then gives you both sides of the coin at the same time.

Thank you so much for your time! Just one last question—does it mean that even after three playthroughs, you still can’t obtain everything? I mean items (of any kind) that are tied to “mutually exclusive factors.” Is there any guide or something similar on this topic? I’ve been wanting to return to GD for a long time, having previously played only 100+ hours and realizing that I hadn’t even explored a quarter of the game. But knowing myself, I tend to burn out from playing too many alts, while at the same time, with my main character I’m trying to collect everything possible in each playthrough (in any game). Now, I want to do a very thorough run, and if it requires going through the game three times, I’m ready to plan everything as meticulously as possible. But without guides of this sort, doing it by trial and error could take quite a long time, and I’m afraid I don’t have much time because of work and family

In any case, even if such guides don’t exist, I still think it’s worth giving it a try.

no and “yes”
ex, you can’t be Nemesis status with both Kymon’s Chosen and Death’s Vigil “at the same time”, mutually exclusive faction.
You can get rep with them “individually” per playthrough, thus get revered with Kymon’s on Normal/Ultimate, stockpile their faction items, the switch side on Ultimate and side with Vigil
But, you wont have access to the same bosses now. So any related bosses and their items, would have had to be (satisfactory) dealt with prior.
*With the caveat you can get it/their drops randomly in Crucible and SR ofc

Then you have stuff like Outcast/Anasteria, she will have items that can only drop from her and on Ultimate, which then requires you to go hostile with her on Ult. You can ofc go friendly with her prior, stockpile whatever shop item you feel is collectible, and go hostile on Ult. But naturally you can’t do her questline on Ult to gain access to her as boss with unique drop (doesn’t drop in SR/crucible)
^ie getting the item excludes a subjective 100% quest clear since you wont get those quests on Ult, but you can experience in them on Normal/Elite if that’s fine.
Barrowholm, is same deal. You can’t get Ravager fight and Namadea on the same playthrough, they are mutually exclusive. You cant’ get Ravager’s drops anywhere else, but you can potentially luck out and get Namadea (and Reaper) drops in SR/Crucible(i think? 99% sure). But you wont have access to the Namadea bossfight on the same playthrough.
(and you will lose access on previous difficulties when switching sides as reputation state carries forth and back. ie you can’t get Kymon and Namadea bosses on Normal, select Vigil and Ravager on Ult, and go back to fight Namadea/Chosen’s boss on Normal, since while the quest was done the reputation portion is changed)

I think, offhand recollection atleast, that Anasteria/Outcast and Ravager is the only faction related item drop that’s exclusive/choice. Nemesis items for Vigil/Chosen/Barrowholm you can obtain randomly in SR/Crucible, any other boss/Ult exclusive item isn’t gated off by quest choice or faction you can be locked out of.
*that’s assuming we’re just talking items and not quest interactions/quest specific bosses/1shot bosses

On doing 3 playthroughs, you can clear every quest atleast once, you can get XY faction rep up or down atleast once, and you can get to fight every enemy and obtain every item atleast once (i technically think only 2 is necessary).
I’m not 100% sure about how/when where the cutoff is for lower grade or lower level unique epic/legendary Boss MIs. So if that’s like a mandatory thing it might mean you can’t get everything even on 3 playthroughs.
(ex ravager helm exists in a lvl 75 and 95 epic/blue version and i’m not entirely certain which version or difficulty they are specifically tied to if any or both of Normal and Elite - which if so would force you to never go hostile, thus never unlocking the faction hostile stuff).
*ravager helmet/fight technically exists in 3 different variants Flesh, Minds, Souls, i’m not gonna count those required under separate playthroughs (ie 3 chars needed); since you were talking about nuking world folder i’m going to assume you’re fine just doing a console command token change to swap the Ravager version fight once you’re ready to go through the fights/obtain the helmet(s) ?

So if you’re fine with obtaining some stuff/some boss fights only in SR, 2-3 playthroughs should get you everything, atleast let you clear every quest and have every campaign fight once.

Oh… my… god… I have to say, I’m genuinely, pleasantly shocked. I’ve heard so many good things about the Grim Dawn community before, but this… I don’t even know how to thank you for the time you spent on this. You’ve detailed everything so extensively, and you didn’t have to go through all that trouble just because of someone like me with a bit of that good old OCD

Last night, I spent the whole evening looking for this kind of info. I’ll say that I did come across many posts similar to mine, but all the responses they got, for example on reddit, were along the lines of: “Hey, just head over to grimtools; there’s a checklist there, that’s all you need.” If you don’t mind and if you have the time, could I ask a favor of you to write a very brief “development guide,” something like:

Normal: Do everything as usual, join THIS faction, and make a choice in THEIR favor. Don’t forget to do THIS and THAT quest, as they are easy to miss.

Elite: Pretty much the same as the previous playthrough, but focus on THIS and THAT faction, while deliberately ruining relations with THIS faction to favor another one. Get the ITEM which will come in handy later on Ultimate.

Ultimate: Here, you revert back to boosting your reputation with THIS faction. Make sure not to miss THIS thing because that quest isn’t logged in the journal (like Crate of Entertainment, for example). And then do THIS and THAT.

What I’ve described above might seem like a bit more than “brief,” but I want to try to tie it all together with what you’ve written above to create something like a “Completionist guide for people with OCD” and then post it somewhere for everyone—I think it could help at least someone, if not many

Either way, I want to thank you once again for all the effort you’ve put into explaining everything in such detail. You’ve already helped me so much with your previous post, and you definitely didn’t have to do any of this. So, no matter what, just know that I’m really grateful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

UPD: You know, the more I dive into this, the more I realize just how complex this game truly is. I’ve been digging even deeper, studying a lot of information about it, and… there are just so many nuances coming up that make it pretty clear the game isn’t designed for a single character to collect absolutely everything. Maybe that’s actually for the best? Well, I guess I’ll play it the way the developers intended it to be

*depending on if low level items matter, ie lvl 75 blue ravager helmet vs only the level 94 Legendary

and depending on how much you want to grind a single playthrough, you can, as i remember, spread it over 2.

Mutually exclusive faction choices:
base game, Kymon’s Chosen/Death’s Vigil
base game, Anasteria Friendly/Hostile - has unique helmet, requires hostile (recommend doing this for Ult if lower grade versions doesn’t matter - otherwise you will need multiple chars)
AoM exp, Barrowholm friendly/hostile - has unique helmet from Ravager, can’t be obtained anywhere else, Ravager requires Friendly
*Ravager exists in 3 versions, you can swap these with some cheaty console command hacks, otherwise require 3 chars legit - and definitely requires 2-3 chars if you want the lower grade Ravager helmets.

Quest interaction/choice differences, as i remember (swizz cheese memory)
*not counting NPC dialogue response changes based on just lines picked when handing in quest (guy asking you to kill 3 zombies etc)
omega Spoiler Warning !, stop reading if you’re not making a neat clear list

act1

  1. Tale of Two Blacksmiths in Burrwitch Outskirts has 2 mutually exclusive outcomes with 1 outcome having 2 flavour options
  2. Ulgrim in Burrwitch Outskirts has 2 outcomes, but nothing that has much impact besides flavour
  3. Direni in Devil’s Crossing has 2½ outcomes, (1½ leads to the same, difference is just whether you initiate it or ignore him/passively trigger it)
  4. Kasparov recipe quest has 2 outcomes (requires Honoured rep to start) - gives 2 mutually exclusive rewards on Ultimate, requires 2 chars to get both

act2

  1. Isaiah Reddan (quest from dying guy on the road) in Arkovian Foothills has 2 outcomes
  2. Skinner Family has 2 outcomes in Kymon’s Retreat
  3. Rover Elder/Talisman has 2 passive/reward outcomes *you will technically need 2 chars to try everything, as 1 reward is tiered across norm/elit/ult
  4. New Harbour in Old Arkovia has 2½ outcomes, two different ones you directly initiate and then a similar outcome if passive/ignored
  5. non quest NPC interaction, couple on the road at Twin Falls towards Coliseum has 3 outcomes (1 is just ignoring them unsure if that counts? - doesnt’ do anything)

act3

  1. little girl Kalista? trapped in cave has 2 outcomes
  2. Faction choice between Kymon’s Chosen/Death’s Vigil in Homestead (technically you don’t even have to make the choice but then ofc misses out on faction stuff)
  3. Burning the Witch on the bonfire in Blood Grove has 2 outcomes

act4

  1. Lost Armaments/recover the supplies in Fort Ikon has 2 outcomes
  2. Anasteria/Outcast Faction choice in Fort Ikon

Ac5

  1. Barrowholm faction choice - this will results in multiple changes/quests and bosses
16)the Void, Ulgrim interaction has the same end result but how you get there is slightly different, one is passive the other is, “active” shall we say

Act6

  1. trapped Bloodsworn in the void with Lunal’Valgoth *impacts act 7!
  2. Nicoh Erin and kids, has 2 outcomes - this is completely random and internally decided/fixed when you load into the world
  3. Ivonda’s diary, has 2 outcomes
  4. non quest NPC interaction, prisoner in fleshworks has 2-3? outcomes
  5. flavour NPC dialogue, after burning down the Fleshworks the hand in quest NPC will react different depending on how blunt you are.
  6. Anasteria if alive will cause unique dialogue interaction with her and another NPC

ac7

  1. 3 different main quest faction allegiance - you get rep with all 3 so that’s not an issue
Solael/Dreeg/Bysmiel sports their own questline depending on who your initial choice is, this means to get all 3 a different one must be picked each playthrough. - in terms of reward, you technically need 3 chars and 9 playthroughs to get everything the way the final quest reward recipe is structure (1 rune from each faction in 3 tiers/for Norm/Elit/Ult each = 3x3 = 9 playthroughs)
^none spawn unique boss drops tho, even if they unlock their “own” bosses during quest line. Solael quest then has an additional tweak since you get the choice of killing 3/6 NPCs, (flavour NPCs) so that will be impossible to technically get 100% variation on in a single Solael run
  2. Solael? aspirants, 2 outcomes (unrelated to faction choice)
  3. Trapped Bloodsworn quest choice in act 6 will directly impact a boss/side “quest” in Ruins of Abyd, each with unique item drops. Only way to get both is 2 chars or carefully dealing with the Trapped Bloodsworn choice last/after getting the first item

i think, far from 100% sure, that’s all the stuff to look out for, swizz :cheese: memory
With that in mind, it’s relatively simple to just do A or B or the 2 outcome choices as you please, just remembering Ultimate exclusive item drops will require Anasteria hostile and Ravager friendly and Trapped Bloodsworn to be left hanging for a while.

Normal

1 - side with Angrim
2 - tell Ulgrim about the prison
3 - kill Direni
4 - return Hargates recipe to Kasparov
5 - be an ass/“hostile” to Isaiah but dont’ kill him (alternatively you ignore him in act 2 and follow up in Homestead)
6 - (calmly) talk Skinner down/tell him about devil’s crossing being safe
7 - lie and keep talisman
8 - help Alicia/don’t kill Silas(yes i know it’s hard not to) - return to Alicia after killing Cronley/making it through to Twin Falls
9 - forgive the deception and tell the couple about DC
10 - set the little girl free
11 - Faction choice A (efficiency will depend on build, tho on avg in general i side with Kymon first)
12 - side with the Witch/say there is no proof
13 - give supplies to the black legion NPC/hand in at Fort Ikon
14 - go Friendly with Anasteria, gain rep through Honoured and do her quests
15 - Barrowholm faction choice, if/since we’re doing Ravager on Ult for the legendary helmet, i’d say taste the Hostile option now
16 - take the aggressive option and smack some sense into Ulgrim (i legit dont’ remember the dialogue chain to do so tho, it’s just the less calm ones i think)
17 - free the Bloodsworn
18 - from my experience most encounters ends the sad way, you can back out of the final dialogue line and reset/go to main menu and enter to attempt a different RNG seed
19 - give Ivonda her diary
20 - free the prisoner
21 - dialogue A
22 - exhaust Korinia’s and Anasteria’s quests(in Fort Ikon), requires Honoured rep both, then talk with them (can save this for elite if you don’t feel like grinding rep yet)
23 - faction choice A
24 - allow the aspirants to stay
25 - clear Ruins of Abyd trapped Bloodsworn followup

Elite

1 - side with Duncan, kill Angrim
2 - don’t tell Ulgrim about the prison
3 - let Direni go/hear him out and make a deal with him
4 - keep the recipe at quest hand in dialogue option - follow up in fleshworks
5 - side against Isaiah/kill him (hostile dialogue options)
6 - get Skinner to burn the house down (hostile/deceptive dialogue?)
7 - *if you want all 3 tiers of the talisman you must lie again, otherwise return the talisman for flavour
8 - help Alicia/dont’ help Alicia; but kill Silas this time :smiling_imp: - portal away twice/through 2 different zones then return and get the new quest from Alicia
9 - kill the couple
10 - kill Kalista (you’re a deceiver/bottom dialogue options iirc)
11 - technically you can do faction choice B now, *but unless you wanted to grind lots of rep on Normal you can just make faction choice A again and carry through the rep so there is less to Revered/Nemesis
12 - Burn the Witch ! :fire:
13 - give supplies to Homestead (dont’ hand in at Fort Ikon)
14 - can technically go hostile with Anasteria now, *but unless you wanted to grind lots of rep on Normal you can just make faction choice A again and carry through the rep so there is less to Revered
15 - if you got your “hostile kinks” out of the way with Barrowholm on normal, you can go friendly with them now, otherwise stay hostile and carry through the rep for easier Nemesis status(shouldnt’ take long to only do on Normal tho/special faction rep rate)
^if you do go Friendly, then spare Larria/warn her dialogue option(flavour interaction); you will kill her on Ultimate
16 - just be Ulgrim’s friend and calmly talk some sense into him
17 - dont’ free the bloodsworn/ignore them all together/don’t click their quest ! marker
18 - if you got the kill before, reset and keep reset to main menu until you get the portal to sewers/non hostile option. Otherwise if you got the happy result on Normal; just kill Nicoh now
19 - keep the diary/don’t give it to Ivonda, loot her hideout
20 - kill the aetherial scum prisoner
21 - dialogue B
22 - if you went hostile already Anasteria wont be there, otherwise exhaust Korina’s and Anasteria’s quest and talk to them
23 - faction choice B
24 - deny the aspirants
25 - default/normal Ruins of Abyss boss spawn present

*before changing final factions on Ultimate, you can go to XY quartermaster for current faction choices (Kymon/Vigil and Anasteria) and stockpile their faction items. Most of them wont really be needed/used but can be fun to have if nothing else.

Ultimate

1 - side with Duncan, don’t kill Angrim - talk to Angrim in Fort Ikon
2 - whichever, you already did both
3 - whichever, you can just ignore the quest, but the result is the same as sparing him/he ends in Cronley Lair as boss (handy for nemesis status rep/infamy farm)
4 - whether you turn in or keep the recipe will affect your reward colour, you can’t get both on 1 char - the reward is kinda the same just a different name/colour. Follow up in fleshworks or with Kasparov after visiting fleshworks.
5 - side with Isaiah/dont’ judge him and be nice (top dialogue options i think?)
6 - whichever, you already did both
7 - *if you want all 3 tiers of the talisman you must lie again, otherwise whichever since you already did both
8 - “whichever” you already did both big outcomes, the difference will be in the small interactions, whether or not you helped or didn’t help Alicia first, or whether or not you returned to Alicia first or not after killing Silas, - final outcome wise both should have been covered tho
9 - ignore the couple/don’t kill but also dont’ forgive don’t send to devil’s crossing
10 - whichever you already did both
11 - faction choice B (if you sided with Kymon prior now it’s time to side with Vigil)
12 - whichever, you already did both
13 - whichever, you already did both
14 - go Hostile with Anasteria/kill her on the spot :smiling_imp:
15 - go Friendly with Barrowholm - kill Larria
16 - whichever, you already did both, i prefer smacking sense into since potential toughest scaling for the fight on Ult
17 - ! *dont’ free the bloodsworn/ignore them all together/don’t click their quest ! marker
18 - if you didnt’ get both outcomes with Nicoh this is your final chance, keep resetting to main menu until the outcome you want becomes available
19 - whicever, you already did both
20 - don’t kill and don’t free the prisoner
21 - whicever, you already did both
22 - Anasteria dead, so no interactions/special dialogue here iirc
23 - faction choice C
24 - whicever, you already did both
25 - once you free the bloodsworn that boss spawn is locked in, this is why you were not to free them. Farm/grind the Ruins of Abyd griphon boss for it’s 5% drop chance legendary. Once obtained, you can go free the Trapped Bloodsworn in malmouth void, reset to main menu, go grind the new boss in Ruins of Abyd of its 5% unique legendary - this boss will then be the permanent remaining option/spawn

**again again caveat being tiered rewards so you can’t get everything on 1 char while doing all options (hostile barrowholm+low level ravager helmets/elder talisman)
***And ofc massive disclaimer that i might have missed something, a quest, interaction, so you might want to still pay attention and research make notes ofc your own etc

You’re god… damn… legend! Thank you so much for your help, for your time!

np, my pleasure  - hope you find tidbits useful enough to construct your desired char/playthrough and have some fun

After that godforsaken Diablo 4, I spent half a day playing Grim Dawn today, and I started to remember why I fell in love with GD in the first place. Yeah, regarding my “perfectionism,” not everything goes as smoothly as I’d planned—some things still won’t be achievable—but I created a test character today, and I’m roughly planning out a route (not literally, because I don’t want the game to feel like a job) to make sure I don’t miss anything during a “full” playthrough. I can’t quite explain it, but even the hidden quests here, the ones that end almost as soon as they start, are fascinating. The world is intriguing. The game is genuinely interesting. And it has such an incredible atmosphere.

it’s part of why i’m praising the “static” maps of Grim Dawn, hand crafted means detail, things are more deliberate, congruent and alive, than just randomly assembled segments tile? pieces.
Even years after i began playing i’d find tiny little nooks and crannies, hidden corpse, chest, grave or broken vase here and there. Small, not important in the grand scheme of things, but had that sense of wonder and discovery and “wow can’t believe i missed this/so obvious”. I dont’ remember having the same sensation in Diablo because everything had to be either important enough to be found, or be able to fit when generated and strangely felt more samey and unimportant despite GD’s map being fixed.
Granted you largely only get that discovery once, but finding a crack in a wall, leading to a hidden or unmarked trail, leading to a flavour boss or 1shot encounter, just seems like it might fit handcrafted map/layout better; it’s actually “hidden” and might not “want” to be highglighted/needed to be found the same, even if the reward isn’t huge.
Same reason why i often make note of for people asking for help to try not actually use grimtools map on their first playthrough, “if they like to explore”, because it just spoilts so much right off the bat
And there are lots of stuff in the world/maps that can be awesome, even if it’s just a random lore note, or ritual circle in a corner.
Even small things just seem like they have some modicum of meaning, like it’s an actual world.

*couple months ago i went through Broken Hills for the umpteenth time. And for some reason i decided to/ended up spending minutes trying to find a way into the “basin”/canyon in the middle, because it looked gorgeous and like “there could be something down there”.
Like there was a level of detail enough to find it interesting, even if it’s just surroundings/environment. (and thought it could be kinda cool if could glitch a rune movement down there/“get out of bounds”)

Ugdenbog especially has loads of these places or partial views where you can juuust see something that could look like it was more/leads to something or could be used, a road off to the side etc, but you can’t reach it, and have to imagine instead.

My introduction to the game was… kind of strange, if I can put it that way. I bought Grim Dawn a long time ago but never played it (it was more of an advance purchase because I had heard so much about the game from, well, literally everyone around me). Later, when “trouble started in my country”, I sold my PC and ordered a laptop. While I was waiting for my new device, I borrowed my daughter’s laptop. And, to not stress it too much, I installed Grim Dawn.

Well, that was something else entirely. Over a hundred hours flew by without me even noticing. And yeah, I completely agree with you about the handcrafted locations—ones you can go through a hundred times, and even the 101st time is still a joy, infinitely better than that procedurally generated mess in Diablo. The quests and lore—I was practically squealing with delight. I still remember getting goosebumps because of that girl in the basement. I remember the seamstress telling me about how her children died. I remember how I wasn’t just smashing monsters, but exploring the locations, houses, reading lore notes. It sounds kind of weird for this genre, doesn’t it? Yeah, probably weird—for those who haven’t played GD.

While in the past I thought random generated stuff was cool, I’ve since done a 180 on it and this is the main reason. Nothing feels special, it’s all more or less the same, even if it’s different each time. The differences don’t matter. And instead of being in truly different areas you’re still ‘in a forest’ and all variations of ‘forest’ are more or less the same. I much prefer handcrafted worlds where things actually have a purpose and meaning.

I never kill him. I don’t want everyone to die and have the children be abducted.
Unless there’s some way to get another ending that I’m not aware of…

I’ll do this next time, I’m not aware of a follow up quest.

I’ll have to check what this is about. I like not giving him the formula, but I never noticed anything in the fleshworks.

I feel like a noob with my 1200 hours

By the way, I also wanted to ask—guys, does anyone have a Lokarr set they could share (wouldn’t say no to the rings and amulet either :relieved:)? I had it on my old save, but unfortunately that save was lost. Back then, I was using Grim Internals, which heavily recommended using local saves, and it ended up staying on my daughter’s laptop, only to be promptly deleted by her (we tried looking for it yesterday, probably she wiped saves with OS reinstall).

And no, I really don’t want to use something like GD Stash or other save editors. I’d be super grateful if anyone could share some “toon gear.”

it happens automatically if you pass through to cronely, you get an instant quest entry, which is essentially the same, just missing the “initial” breadcrumb step/Alicia interaction

unlike the above, iirc, it’s not an automatic quest entry, and you have to “explore”/actually go click the crystal formation to get+insta clear the quest

i can send a save with a spare set, but i don’t have a spare amulet
*also worth to note the most important thing for levelling/fast levelling is xp potion (and merit to unlock portals) - which requires a “main”/prior char
side note, if it’s first run/clean save; remember to go buy a Writ immediately when Honoured with each faction from their Quartermaster

Ah then I probably do get it, just not actively aware of it
