Witch Hunter (Vanilla) - Curse of Frailty AND Veil of Shadow?

Hello everybody,

I’m currently playing a Witch Hunter in the Vanilla game. I’m lvl85 and my build seems to work in Ultimate, at least so far (I’m in the 3rd act).

I used my skill points like this: grimtools.com/calc/mN4WjXlZ

As you can see, I rely only on Veil of Shadow for debuffing purposes.

After checking some other Witch Hunter builds here in the forum, I noticed that players tend to stack the debuff skills from both classes.

I want to farm for the Venomblade Pact set because I like the playstyle: Dive in with shadow strike > cast ring of steel > LMB Amarasta’s Blade Burst > run away, let the DoT do its thing until the cooldowns are done > repeat

Now I wonder: Is the use of Curse of Frailty vital to a Witch Hunter like this and with the 85 levelcap? If yes, where should I take some points away?

Veil of Shadow maybe?

I saw that some builds did use just one point in Shadow Strike but I thought I put in some more for the extra piercing damage which will work great in combination with the Venomblade set.

Thank you for reading and for every bit of brain power in advance

Vulnerability is a must. CoF not really.

Thank you for your reply

Yes, I got that Vulnerability is what I need, so just 1p in CoF. But where do I take the needed points from? The only two skills that come to mind are VoS and SS.

VoS has 6 points
SS has 6 points, too. My thinking here was that I wanted the extra pierce damage.

What would be less important? The range and OA debuff of VoS or the damage output of SS?

would be easier for us to help if you upload the grimtool of your char, i guess you have gearing that gives few +skills
