Witchblade - Advice on direction

Hi Master Class Builders and Critiques,

grimcalc.com/build/skRVgA

This is my first character or should I say first character I don’t think I am going to reroll. I always like to start out on my own and tinker and suffer through trial and error before I hit the forums looking for more streamlines builds. After suffering through levels 15 - 22 I realized my original direction I wanted to go in with the Witchblade was just not cutting it. I thought investing heavily into pets will reduce aggro so I can focus on pure DPS but it didn’t quite work out that way.

So here I am, after crunching numbers for a few hours I am feeling pretty good about my build, I am just not sure which direction I should go in. I never noticed the Devotion until last night so I just started working my way through the Chaos side.

Right now I’ve been focusing on Attack Speed, Bleeding, Vitality Damage, Life Leech and pretty much any way to convert damage into health. Using 1H Sword and Shield. I’m proud of how my build turned out, the game is getting much better. But I feel like I can definitely improve it by the experience of others.
What do y’all think will be a good move while going down the path of level 50?

Things to note:

  1. I have a bonus in Fighting Spirit and and Veterency so both are at 2
  2. Bat Constellation Skill Twin Fangs is Level 3, assigned to Cadence
  3. Working on Vulture Constellation
  4. I use the following Item Skills - Slam for single dps, Shield Slam for Multi-Target/CC, and Stomp for Aoe/Clearing
  5. OA: 782 DA: 687 DPS:1410 AR: 204 AtkSpd: 170%

Best regards,
Fear the Kitten

For Occultist tree, I’d focus on getting Possession, maxing out Solael’s Witchblade + Second Rite, put some points into Blood of Dreeg + Armor of the Guardian for the heal and resistances. For Soldier, raise your Fighting Spirit to level 5 so you can have it proc often and invest some points into Field Command + Squad Tactics.

For Devotions, get Turtle and Behemoth for survivability. You might want to work towards to Hawk/Viper for % Offensive Ability and then to Abomination.

Getting the Eye of the Guardian constellation is also good for a melee-focused build since it procs much and does quite alot of damage even without support(the orbs also smash stuff around u, handy for finding hidden area’s.)

Putting some points in the Solaels witchblade converter if u do alot of chaos damage is also handy.
For the rest see Fancy’s post above.
