Wolves Pet in New Mastery

Hello Guys,

Not sure if this has been talked and/or confirm. Will we get wolf pets in the new mastery? I feel, it’s a perfect class for that, not sure if we will get?

Thanks

Please Crate!

berserker will allow shapeshifting into a werewolf but isn’t featuring any pets itself

this might be the closest thing, atleast revealed so far, secondary transformation of Empyion guardians/other pets into a different model

Oh no… was hoping for a skill that allow to summon wolves, like the skeletons

i can’t say for certain whether it will or will not come somewhere in FoA, as i mentioned in my quick edit closes thing so far we’ve seen is altering existing pet models into something else.
Whether a relic, or item or outside ability will be added that enables wolf summon pets i don’t know, for now it hasn’t been revealed if so atleast. But it’s not part of the berserker mastery itself, and was never intended to i think?

What happens is that many are confusing the berserker with a druid from Diablo 2

Would be ashamed if not man. Just a skill to allow for that to be summon, no item or such but a skill in the mastery would be cool

it’s not a pet mastery tho, it has 0 explicit/“direct” pet bonuses, and only a team aura/buff that might apply, it seems pretty clear it’s not a pet mastery/Berserk not intended to be pet oriented skill wise.
Why the devs chose this, instead of the “classic” Diablo2 summon druid Savage mentions i can’t say, but that’s just how it is  - i’m just relaying that, and have no say in it.

No a pet mastery? The entire concept would be perfect for it. From a play perspective and design perspective. Through the years, players ask crate for features that was never meant to be, but they provide them with that, because after all, it’s a game, and it should be fun for players.

But, this is just my opnion

yes, it is currently not a pet mastery, i thought that was clear?
Yes we/players can say/feel Berserker would fit or be perfect for a pet mastery… but the devs still decided to go in a different direction… “i can’t change that”; i’m just giving you the state of the mastery and relaying the devs information.
Devs not intending for it to be a pet mastery i can’t explain the reason for that, you would have to ask one of the devs why they decided that. I know many players wished it had pets, even before it was revealed, but devs don’t always explain every decision they make. We just get the updates Development Updates - Crate Entertainment Forum , Join us for a Livestream on November 25th!

*i tried to find it (forum search feature sucks), but i think Zantai said outright before the berserker mastery skill tree reveal that it wasn’t a pet class, and if so that means they decided that a while ago

**found it on steam

I know that, but i don’t think you understand what I’m saying. I know the new mastery is not a pet mastery, i was saying it have potential to be one, or options to summon. For example, the oat keeper isn’t a pet mastery, yet there is a skill to summon them, i was hoping for something like that, not farming to obtain a certain item type to summon that.

yes i get that, but it clearly seems we/players are not getting that(what we want)?
we can want it all we want, but the devs decided against it, so it doesn’t matter so much what we want/at best now we can hope to get wolves from items/different sources, because berserker wont do it/they decided against berserker doing it regardless

unsure if it’s coming of as arguing and that’s why we’re coming in circles
my point more is; you kinda have to come to terms with it/all you can do now is accept berserker wont be the one bringing the wolves, something else would/items etc

Yeah man, one can only hope. A wolve pack would of been amazing, like summon a pack of Asterkarn icy wolves lol

I really hope there will be a way to summon the white wolf from the FoA promo art, I would be quite disappointed if it’s just an NPC pet.

If it’s actually summonable, it’s definitely not gonna be a mastery skill, I think the berserker mastery is pretty much set in stone except for some details like balancing and such, I don’t think it will fundamentally change at this point.
But it could very well be an item skill or a set bonus. The latter would be cool, making sure it will be a really powerful pet.

item skill modifier, “when you howl in werewolf form summons the great wolf” (not sure if they will make modifiers like that which might require such extra tooltip tho) - but it could be cool

a pack of those promo art would do! I mean, no wolf roams alone, they run in packs…

Other option is, we start our own company and make a ARPG, and all classes are focus on pets! xd

One of Grim Dawn’s largest mods is here: [REL] Grimarillion v94

This mod features the classes from Titan Quest and Diablo 3 (alongside some additional custom classes); what you are looking for is the Nature mastery from Titan Quest - it’s designed around wolves, nymphs, and is primarily a pet-centered class.

Also, yes I do hope that we get to use that great white wolf somewhere in GD; it’s way too cool not to incorporate into the game.

I think you’ll find that particular wolf cannot be summoned…
