Last night after 1007 patch I took my lvl 72 sorc through the crucible on challenger. I died on wave 86 and received no epics or legendaries from the chests… no surprise I was disappointed after having killed Malkadarr, Shar’Zul, Swarm Queen Ravna, so many other challenging bosses along the way. Only to get nothing but iron bits for loot.
So did I get crap loot because I didn’t stop after a 10 wave increment? Or is crucible loot that bad? Do you think if I go back through to 80 and stop I’ll get any legendaries?
It’s normal. there is a penalty if you die. Especially challenger instead of gladiator If you die at above wave 100 it’s still possible not to get things. Only at wave 130 onwards you might still get a couple if you die.
On Gladiator you can get 7-9 legendaries if you finish. It’s good rirsk-reward.
just unlock wave 100 and slowly farm starting from there. when you feel it’s too much bail out and grab your spoils don’t let Lokarr taunt you:)
Crucible loot bad? It’s the most efficient way of getting legendaries. But you have to finish 150 to be guaranteed legendaries. You will get one at least one in aspirant and about 4-6 on challenger, sometimes only 3 I think. I’ve only done gladiator three times and I got at least 6. For me challenger seems more efficient because it doesn’t take as long as some bosses in gladiator take a very long time to kill. And I’m not good enough, or am not using an op build (most op ones are boring), to not use consumables in gladiator.
