Xbox update

Hello everyone i seen that roday was an update for grim dawn so i downloaded it. And logged in thinking it might have been the new dlc. The download size dor me was 1.94gb on a series x and when i went and loaded the game i didnt notice any changes except for all my characters and progress was wiped. Is this intended for the new dlc launch

Same issue just now. Only I didn’t accept the update. Now there is no update available and I still can’t load my saves.

Reinstalling now. Will update,

Same here. They forced the update when I unpaused then my character was missing upon restart. Thats A LOT of hours of lost time. Very pissed off! :rage:

Reinstalling didn’t help. I’ll just start a game and see what happens.

Xbox Series S, also forced update and hundreds of hours down the drain. I REALLY hope this is addressed as I am a new relatively new player (couple months) and have been absolutely in love with the game up for his point. But if this isn’t addressed/fixed in some manner it will leave a very bad taste in my mouth. I have no desire to play any other game right now but I also also have no desire to start from scratch just to possibly lose that data in the future.

All character data to be activated after update has been deleted.
What kind of joke is this?

It appears to be a cloud save issue. In one of our tests characters do sync, but it took exceedingly long.

We are investigating this as a top priority.

If I lost as much as you I would likely be just as upset. I haven’t been playing long enough to have s max level toon but I am still very irritated and if characters are not restored I will have to make a tough decision on whether I will have enough faith in the game to start over. Truly sad because it has been a very long time since I have enjoyed any game this much…fitting something has to corn along to spoil it.

No, we had the hotfix tested internally and everything was working. It also went through mandatory certification on top of that. This issue did not begin until the update was live.

I’m sorry this has happened and I understand emotions are heated, but let’s not jump to conclusions.

We will be rolling the hotfix back until we can investigate this further. I do not think any data was actually lost, but we’re not going to leave this up until we can get to the bottom of it.

The hotfix has now been rolled back. Once your installation rolls back to v1.2.1.3, we are confident your saves should be accessible again.

How do we roll it back on our end? Will it be an automatic update? Or do we need to uninstall and reinstall?

The update should be automatic. You may be able to force it to happen immediately by visiting the Xbox “updates” menu.

Paint me impressed that you guys were able to roll it back at all and especially to do it so quickly while dealing with the MS console overlords! I am 100% sold on not only this game (which is by far the best arpg experience I have had in years) but it’s developers at Crate. Thank you all very much for the prompt attention!
