You just really are never satisfied until the world works just the way you want and anything other than that you find a reason to insult people

So you now claim to know how most people feel… I’ve just had enough of your insults and statements that you know better what everyone wants…

Just go and develop your own game as you’re so bloody perfect… I’ve had enough and refuse to sink to your level of accusing everyone else of being in the wrong and claiming to speak for most people… You speak ONLY for yourself and NOT for anyone else…

Not replying to you again…get a life and wind your neck in :furious::furious::furious:

Welcome to being the very first person on the ignore list

@Jaknet

I honestly don’t blame you for adding him to your ignore list because i did the same. Never seen such a stubborn person who always thinks he’s right and thinks he speaks for everybody, just arguing for the sake of arguing with no conclusion to any argument, just going around in endless circles. It’s like talking to a wall, completely and utterly pointless.

For me the expansion comes when it comes. I’d rather it be released with no issues than be rushed and come out crap, needed a bunch of updates to fix things.

once there is a date, you will know…

Considering when they started spoiling the actual information, it’s been a while, in most other games it’d either be out by now, or we’d have a date. Neither is the case.

yeah, like the D3 Necromancer we heard of at the same time or earlier and just got a date one week ahead of release…

or the Victor Vran expansion that was announced at least half a year before the GD one with a 2016 release date which still is not out…

Truthfully, what information we DO have is still more limited than it seems. We have a few item names and the general idea of what they’ll be, but nothing actually reliable, as it can all change at any time without warning.

we know most of the skills of the two new masteries, we know a bit about the act and some new monsters. If you expect to know the final stats at this point, you are delusional.

None of it is actually set in stone, the only things we can rely on getting are the new classes, the rest can be changed at any time if it’s needed for development concerns.

that is true for any game ever, so not sure what your point is. Either you have none or it is that you should not look at preview data because you just cannot handle it

if the product you are developing had a fixed feature list and scope, I’d agree. I cannot blame Crate for taking more time to make it bigger and better than initially intended though. When projects get bigger, they take more time, regardless of how good your initial plan was.

Have you moaned at Blizzard re the original D3 timing? Because iirc that was around 4-5 years later than originally stated. Have any of their expansions been on time? Or do they only announce them once they have a final release date? And they have a much bigger team than Crate so scheduling shouldn’t be a problem for them, right?

So much has been added to the game than originally planned and indeed to the expansion as well - it wasn’t planned to be half the size again of the main game yet that’s what we’re getting. If you can set up a firm release date schedule under such fluid changes then good luck to you. I prefer to be patient until the devs are happy with all the content rather than release the expansion on some arbitrary date just because they said that was when it would be. Can you imagine how many complaints there’d be if people reached the area Grava’s been working on in the Twitch streams and found no bridges? Just because Crate had said it would be out on ?? and by golly we’re going to release it then no matter what!

Let the devs get on with their work, tell us what they want about the expansion and quit complaining.

You never learn do you? I didn’t insult anyone. If I wanted to insult you, or Crate, you’d know it… Because I’d actually use an insulting term. Instead, apparently polite statements are an insult to you. Nice to know.

I’m sorry, ahve you somehow missed, oh, I don’t know… ALL the threads in the ideas and feedback section? No, all those people TOTALLY agree with EVERY choice made, they don’t think any of them should be changed, at all. If people make it blindingly obvious, I’m not claiming anything… Just looking at what’s right in front of me, what they themselves have made clear.

I’ve never claimed to be perfect. Would you prefer I spent an inordinate amount of time telling Crate what they did right? Why bother? They already know, and clearly if I think they did it right, I don’t see any reason anyone would want it changed. Speaking up about positive things sounds nice and all… But all it really accomplishes is giving people a nice fuzzy feeling in the gut.

I think anyone being compared to Blizzard at this point should be insulted. Blizzard’s just become THAT bad.

If you look… I wasn’t complaining here. Simply replying to the topic. If you could all grow up a bit, and actually only read what I type, instead of adding in your own preferences and prejudices… Maybe I’d stop getting BS like “Since you think you’re perfect” or “Insulting people” or “Complaining”… When nothing of the sort is taking place.

Read what’s on the screen, not what you THINK is on the screen, not what you EXPECT to see on the screen… Just what is ACTUALLY there. If it helps, imagine it being spoken in a monotone.

Sorry, but I do.

You complain that Crate haven’t told us when it’s coming. And that is what it is, even if you don’t come straight out and say so. Well, sorry, but they have as far as they’re able to at the moment. If that’s not definite enough for you then there’s nothing I, Jaknet, Powbam, Crate or anyone else can do about it.

That’s basically the gist of it. If you notice with his replies to me, Zantai, and Jak and even other threads he often has to back peddle and say things like this…

…sure thing, Mr. “Now I’m suddenly ultra-literal”. <–(did you see me in your mind doing the hand-quotes here, making a silly face? hah)

I’m a fair hand at reading what’s on the screen. Not only that I consider myself quite adept at reading the “implications” behind the words that people write. Take your original post I responded to for example. You purposefully dropped implications like they were going out of style thru every bit of it. You can’t even read it without them poking you directly in the eye it’s so obvious.

Don’t sit there and act like you don’t do it when someone calls you out on it. It has become your M.O., by and large. I’ve been dropping posts with so much “laced venom” for long enough around here to know them when I see them but even I can own up to it when I need to.

Anyway, I’m out of this one. Decided to go in on Conan Exiles and it’s almost done downloading so have fun kiddies.

These threads always serve as a fantastic reminder about how greatly people do not understand what game design is like.

I don’t really understand how one can say something like ‘development is taking longer than it should’ when they have no idea what is actually in development in terms of physical content nor how long it takes to make anything to begin with. For a good reference, Titan Quest Immortal Throne took roughly a year to release, with preliminary production beginning (according to wikipedia) a little bit before the actual release of Titan Quest. Now not only is Crate a far smaller studio than Iron Lore was, but I have a vague feeling that what they’re presently working on is far larger than IT. It certainly seems that way from the spoilers we’ve gotten thus far in the misadventures.

What would you prefer? A planned release three months before the actual release, a planned release that is met with a half-finished product, or no official planned release at all? I think paying customers would be a lot less disappointed with the latter.

Giving release dates too early creates hype that can easily turn into outrage should the game be released in an overly buggy state or has it’s release date delayed.

Anyone who pesters the developers of any game to give out some release date of any sort - do not have the game itself in their best interest. Be patient and give the developers the time they need to see whether or not giving any concrete release date would be beneficial when they themselves see the whole picture.

Writing out philosophical responses to bolster one’s own opinion while not understanding the impact and ramifications of a botched game’s release isn’t impressive at all no matter how much “wisdom” you slather onto your posts.

Wow, feels like a Praetorian shindig up in here…

… dammit, wrong game. Thought I was back in da day playing Guild Wars again I guess

/does the John Travolta anyway

Was about to post a serious reply, noticed powbam had appeared in thread, gave up on being serious.

Picked up Goat Simulator on the steam sale, great decision, much more fun than arguing on the internet.

Lemme know how that is. Seriously. I admit it. I’m interested.

Yeah, I must say it has a certain appeal to it. I quite liked the idea when I first saw it. Made me laugh and that’s always a good thing.

Damn…I haven’t seen my warrior dance for years…almost makes me want to load up GW again…lol

Cheers for the memories

Personally if there’s a group of you getting drunk then it’s hilarious, sober and playing solo…hmmmm gets a bit boring. But then I’m a boring sod so your mileage will vary

Oh yeah… that was a great game. One of the few MP games I “mostly” didn’t mind playing MP. Tho there were more than enough times that getting into a decent party to tackle something was a pain. And then making sure they knew what the hell they were doing on top of it… sighhhhh

But fun for sure. Great dance animations.

I’m trying Conan Exiles now

More survival oriented tho but you can play alone if you like. Seems interesting so far but I made the decision to move it from my HDD to my SSD and then I couldn’t start a game and so I moved it back and… no dice. Reinstalling so hopefully, I dunno if I borked it or what. Guess I’ll see but it’s Conan man (or based on the Conan fiction at any rate). Love my Conan.

Well, I’ll probably give it a shot some day. Looks funny baaaaAHh!@

The only MMO I played because apart from one single quest I could play solo…baaaaAHh! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah now that I think of it there wasn’t too much that couldn’t be done solo… at least til further into the game with certain things. I even did alot of the PvP stuff in it and had fun with that. It was pretty nicely balanced in that aspect.

It’s exceedingly silly, just what I need after a long day.

I’m currently on a quest to LICK ALL THE THINGS
