Your favourite Campaign farming builds

I really enjoy farming the “main” game as in doing random dungeons, hunting nemesis and hero dense areas.

I would presume that movement speed/skills and high damage would be the focus of these builds with just enough defenses.

What are your favourite builds for these purposes?

I play campaign only so all my builds are campaign builds. You will end up running lot roguelike dungeons and hunting nemesis. There are no specific build for that , ofc movement speed/skills don’t hurt but that will change soon since forgetten gods will giveus extra movement skills in form of medal augments. Y advice would be just play what you like and try to learn how to make build work. Something that newcomers often overlook is armor and defensive ability, have a look at those even on casters. Gd doesn’t love squishy heroes so you need proper hp, res, armor and da.

I made a build SPECIFICALLY to farm Alkamos rings once. It was a blademaster with both SS and Blitz with Chaos Strike on top.

For general mat farming - mostly pets.

My Spellbreaker. Extremely fast, huge aoe and single target. Downside: Kuba fight is a drag. Even recorded a video to showcase how fast it is in Campaign.

I actually love playing my Poison Caster Witch Hunter in Campaign too, very fast killer and fears no foe, including Grava.

Builds that are oupie in Crucible 150-170 like totem/savagery Conjureror Rune Vindicator are an absolute chore to play in Campaign for me on the other side.

<<<My Gunslinger.>>>

A slighty modified version of this build.

This toon can do everything, including crucible farming. So if I wanted to farm stuff, this would be the best/easiest option. Don´t play it much anymore, because I got 10+ days playtime on it, and I need a bit variety atm. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just rotate my characters when farming campaign for M.I’s

but if I absolitely had to pick my favorite it would be my Lightning Nova Vindicator. As Lightning Nova to me is easily the best looking skill in the game. It obviously gets carried by the procs, as Lightning Nova’s damage really tapers off in Ultimate :frowning:

Back in the Days it was my dual wield fire saboteur

Today is a Pet Conjurer. Realy smooth and quick

Tactician, Blademaster x 2 (cold and pierce), Trickster, Spellbreaker, all my farmers in MC have pseudo-blink and lethal burst dmg to reduce time consumed each run. Vindicator, Spellbinder and Purifier for Crucible.

Kriegs Aether DK for HC, can handle all Campaign bosses without dying.
Not the fastest but survival is key in HC

Edit: Including all Nemesis

Krieg Aether DK is really fast and brutal if done well. Currently it’s the fastest s&b melee character in game.
Ofc, this result translates well into main campaign too.

Looking for non-melee build that can help me finish the game easily with least effort from normal(veteran) till ultimate. I have a lvl 25 tactician that i was basing on malakors denial build but want something ranged/caster and with even less effort :stuck_out_tongue:

Summoner the best for this is 1.0.7.1?

When I was farming, I had a Pyro that I reworked about a dozen+ times in order to try most every devotion proc. Essentially it was morphed into every possible damage type and even a hybrid pet build.

This way farming MC is much less drudgery and you get a pretty good understanding of various devotion procs, equipment quirks, and boss/nemesis mechanics.

So tldr, my recommendation would be to try changing things up…well unless you like watching a movie while you farm or such. (which kind of begs the question as to why bother?).

However, some components can quickly burn through your material stocks when swapping gear too frequently. Which may entice you to try alternate components too.

Edit: as for the OP: I don’t have a favorite.

Less effort? FORCEWAVE! :stuck_out_tongue: Arcanor forcewave tactician is top non-melee tactician afaik.

What’s best is point of view. Currently most top players rank builds in how fast they can clear 150-170 with a banner and some blessings (currently 3 is all the rage like Ulzuin was sth to be ashamed of lol). In that pets have always been number one.

But if you want a peace-of-mind build that can do everything with least effort (if not the fastest) then… haha also pets. One of the conjurers with Nature’s Guardian and Tree of Life devotion setup (Maya’s Dodo build). Or maybe the untransmuted Forcewave/Rune of Kalastor tactician (Veretragna’s Rock build).

It’s cause adding ulzuin leaves you with 89 tribute points when finishing a 3x run instead of 100. That’s 2x 1-10 runs to get it back to 100. Who the fuck has time for that

Alt+tab -> GDStash.exe -> char edit -> tributes -> 100 (12.8s is my record) :wink:

Not everyone likes cheating

Yeah, on a serious note, it’s not about cheating. It won’t get you faster clears. More about ditching chores.

But I agree that builds that can’t handle energy without Ulzuin feel incomplete to me, too. But Ulzuin also gives you some da - being the reason why I’d rather take it than not even if it meant some tribute farming in 100% legit game. Besides, you do die a lot when testing, even you.

Yeah because i do time trial crucible and play stupidly aggressive to try to push the build to maximum potential for the vid. That has what to do with this topic? 5% more DA/OA from crucible isn’t gonna do shit in a bannered run and the only reason you’d take ulzuin is for energy starved builds, not some extra DA that won’t matter
