As the title says, what in everyone’s opinion, is thusfar including all masteries, the absolute best all around build, for both damage and survivability?

I think Octavius Tactician is an overall good and solid build, that can tank, kite and deal great amounts of single target and AoE damage. It’s not the fastest build out there, but it sure is pretty decent in both dmg and survivability, imo.
I would say Agrivix Spellbreaker if assembled without Glasscannon Crucible records in minds (but still like just 30 seconds slower) is very tanky and versatile.
From what I have played Malakor’ed Tactician is just an absolute beast with no real weaknesses.
For ranged I should say any kind of Vindicator is just always massive damage and great survivability.
I can second this. Pretty much the best build for newbies. Never dies and great damage. Not much spamming except forcewave. Can kite (not that you ever need to). All rounder. HC viable etc.
I’d vote for Beastcaller’s + Familiar Conjurer. There are 100 minor variartions floating around ranging from extremely fast to extremely tanky, but they all perform very well.
In some circumstances, a Skeleton + Familiar Cabalist can outperform the Conjurer, but it’s not nearly as flexible and falls apart if you can’t keep the skeletons alive.

Do you mean in crucible or Campaing mode? In Campaing mode there is probably a lot more ‘‘top tier builds’’ then in crucible in term of efficiency. Nowadays top tier builds in crucible seems to be sub 6min for waves 151-170.
For me its the token deathknight using mindwarp/will of the living and the krieg set that has floated around the forums in different forms since AoM dropped.
Its always been good and it rode through all the patches solid as a rock. It can be tweaked to clear all content in the game and its almost impossible for it to die, its been my farmer for hardcore that has enabled all my other characters and experiments since AoM released.

Pet builds can do everything the game has to offer.
Soldiers combined with any mastery is pretty easy and straightforward.
Spellbinders were nerfed(?), but are still at the top if you are looking for casters.
etc, etc…
The “best” as in “capable of doing everything consistently and at a respectable speed” (including celestials and naked crucible) and “not requiring crazy skill” is probably one of the Beastcaller/Familiar conjurers with Nature’s Guardian and Tree of Life, probably the lightning one with Kephlat Zoths and Spark of Ultos or the physical one.
But as pets are often omitted in most rankings (because they win them all), I vote for the classic Agrivix. Even the exact same setup than can do naked crucible (testy but possible) also does 3 runs with blessings and 3.5-4 with a banner. And modified for max speed (different build though) is still the fastest non-pet in the observable universe.
Even though I should probably pick some Markovian or Octavius, I vote for Nex and Ortus infiltrator as the second (third if pets). It can’t do everything but it’s just beautifully op. It’s just MEAN. If only cold had heavy armor… I haven’t tried Malakor and the new Deathmarked but it guess the play and results are similar so they, as well as other N&O builds, deserve a mention as they all come from the same place.

Out of almost playing every class combo, Vitality Cabalist and Ritualist I have found to be the strongest in terms of great DOT damage and survivability. Both classes I still have 0 deaths on.
I wish Saboteur had the defense, because I’d be all over them for the strongest from my point of view.
I think it’s a tie with Strannik’s chaos battlemage.
True but is it the best of the best of the best?
Justicar got a semi-friendly slap in the face in 7.0. Censure got quite an unpleasant kick in the balls. So did the Seal.

What, in everyone’s opinion, is the best melee build?
What, in everyone’s opinion, is the best ranged weapon build?
What, in everyone’s opinion, is the best pet build?
By best, I define as all-around-effectiveness across all modes of play. (survivability, kill speed, DPS output, ‘fun’ factor)

Which one do you mean? LD Stormreaver? That’s more a hybrid imo, lots of its power comes from the totems. But yeah, this might be the all round best build. It is top-tier in crucible (outside pets - do I have to say it every time? lol) and it has the survivability in all other aspects of the game. Plus the fastest Ravager kill which, as we know, already elevates it to godhood.

I initially meant my Morimhira, it’s done w/o greens, does all content, clears Crucible without buffs and kills superbosses. LD Lightning Vindicator is more powerful, but it’s hybrid (not straightly melee) and uses greens.
