So I met zantarin the immortal on crucible wave 150 and he one shot me. I was recording this so I went back at looked at the recording to see if there was something I missed, and stepped through my death frame by frame.
So at one frame I have 7494 life (I’m lvl 72) out of my max 8140. The next frame I was on 0.
So I thought I’d check out how much damage I took from him, and according to the stats screen, most damage from 1 attack is 3601… So either this screen is bugged, or I took 3601 from more than 1 source at the same time and that stat is useless.
Anyway, what can I do to survive a shot like that?
Edit: I read he does vitality dammage, and I have 83% resist. So did he do 44k damage in one hit?
He has a skill to shot a vitality projectile like a shotgun, but he rarely use it even it is one of the most dangerous skill in game.
If you get debuff by his Curse of Frailty too. It’s amp. the dmg you get up massively. Anyway only the skill shot itself is capable for killing everyone who took all the shot.
If his AI is smarter, it’d be true nightmare of every reckless melee build.
What you can do is don’t jump in so recklessly and try not standing in front of him 1vs1 for long time.
My commando has 16+k health(with crucible buff) active overguard and play S&B build was killed by that one shot skill from approaching in front of him with blitz.
Each projectile of Zantarin’s vitality shotgun deals vitality and life reduction (i think it’s 15% in each projectile). So yeah, getting shotgunned by several projectiles at once with each dealing 15% life reduction plus vitality.
It’d be funny if in expansion we get Secret Gladiator only wave 151 called Celestial wave and all the clones and Mogdrogen attack the player character out of nowhere
