0.7.5f More UI QoL wishes

Some of my first wish list was even in the last set! So more from the person with bad hands:

  1. Next, or Next/Prev villager of type when one is selected. If Next, TAB is intuitive, but some games use <, > and they are remappable.

Why: You can do this from the professions tab. The magnifying glass will give you them in sequence on subsequent clicks as long as you leave it open. But it is large enough that then you can’t see the villager. I often have to check through all fishers/foragers and builders to see if they are working, why not, or on what in order to make decisions.

  1. Have the other food gather areas “findable” like the cow barn grazing. It has the magnifying glass to find it.

Why: I know it shows them all and selects the one for that building in yellow. But after your first few, and esp. once you start spreading out on the map you won’t see it. So you end up having to grid search over the map to find the yellow one. Which hurts. It is also more efficient to keep the huts in town to make restocking shelter and processing building stockers trips shorter. This is great! But it means eventually you have this row of hunter and forager huts and won’t remember which one went to which gather area. On hardest difficulty it pays to micromanage them by season. So I end up hurting more.

  1. Have a “Return to Barracks” on the barracks, not just on the flag.

Why: When they have been sent on wolf hunts I have to either play “find the flag” or make a new flag and click it. The second is faster, but seems awkward. I like a muster point, just not that being the only return button.

Up to ~95 hrs, and living in fear of large maps. MOAR (panning).

  1. (Would be nice) When selecting an amenity building, some way of seeing what desirability bonus it is currently providing. Like you sort of do when placing it.

Why: Since you can move them (which is nice!) I often feel like I am playing amenity radius roulette when moving. Building though, UI tells me what I need to know.

I do have to say I spend far more time than I want to scanning around the world just trying to remember where I left something
