I have set a minimum quota on iron ore and coal on one of my stockyards. The laborers bring it to the yard, yet the Smeltery workers ignores it and walk miles and miles to the mines to grab coal and iron ore.
What gives?
Do they not grab it from the stockyard because that would bring it beloew the quota? If so, what’s the point of the minimum quota if it is brought there but can’t be used by workers?
Do the smeltery workers leave for the mines before the stockyard is stocked?
I have a similar setup and it works as expected - the smelters get the materials from the stockyard closest to them. But I wonder if perhaps your workers have started their route planning while the stockyard is empty.
Nope, the stockyard has been stocked for a long time now, they completely ignore it, while they are right next to it.
