[1.0.0.4] Cadence Witchblade - 100% unkillable, 100% faceroll build

If you decide to go bonescythe, lemme buy that Battle Axe.

Assassin’s Mark - Cadence
Shield Wall - CoF
Tip the Scales - Some Aura
Targo’s Hammer - Some Aura
Blind Fury - Something, if you took it. (I used Shield Slam from Battered Shell)

So I did Gladiator 150 last night, in a group, mind you, but one guy died, and I was facetanking 2x Fabius and 1x Iron Maiden. (Yep, that was fun!) I didn’t die at all, used a Aether Cluster to be safe, with 23-25k hp. I faced Zantarin a few times, but didn’t experience the shotgunning. Not sure if I had proper focus to get hit though.

As Guurzak noted…the base speed on this new mace is fast and maces have a higher base damage. So that helps but we will lose some ATK speed.
Will have to try one out, see what can be done about fitting in Rhowan’s Scepter devotion, and where to grab some extra ATK speed.
If this is accomplished, I suspect our damage will greatly increase even with a lose of 5-10-15(?)% ATK speed.
That +phys damage in Rhowan’s would be a HUGE boost. (That’s not a %, that’s a flat increase.)

…and yes we will lose OA/cunning rolls from our axes but for now I’m ignoring those as a negligible & acceptable lose.

The proc is a freebie. That’s what is nice about it. Just that simple.

Two extra points in cadence means 2 points moved out of cadence to be used elsewhere. Such as one in war cry (which I don’t like the idea of having to click for the % reduced damage but we’ll see how it works out).

I dunno…but it is clearly a new weapon that will give our green axes a run for the money.

Completed Ultimate difficulty today, just need to do BoC than i have done everything.
I got a 2nd Ring of the Black Matriarch equipping both gives me a lot more dps compared to the Judicator’s Signets.

Zantai mentioned that they will adjust them in a upcoming hotfix.

Haven’t done much Crucible yet just the first difficulty, because i don’t got much time to play and going on holiday for a week. However i do think that the Judicator set is still a good choice for the Crucible due all the mobs mixed with Nemesis.

Yeah, DPS isn’t an issue, it was more for the OA for bosses/nemesis since we have such low native OA. I’m using an Open Hand and a Black Matriarch, and will probably switch back to the Judicator’s after the hotfix, personally.

Closed/open set was there for the heal proc on crit to get us through the end waves of gladiator crucible.
Unless they change it back to ‘on crit’, there’s really no reason to go back to them.
Just saying.
I mean, they can still be legitimately used if you want to but they lost the whole point to using them in the first place. Healing us when faced with 2 or 3 nemesis at the same time.

They are going to revert the OA removal from the Fist ring and increase the resists slightly. Meaning the set doesn’t suck anymore.

The proc is still on kill but now lasts twice as long. Also, the healing from the proc was inconsequential, it barely makes a difference.

This. If you need a 2% heal every 5 seconds to get through Gladiator, you have bigger problems. The OA is the selling point. Hence why everyone is upset about that, and it’s being reverted.

/Sigh.

No.

The OA was NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER the point of using those rings for this build. It sure didn’t hurt but that wasn’t the point.

The proc is not just a 2% health regen, it has a flat health regen bonus plus % OA/DA with (used to) 100% uptime. That with the health regen mods and a high ADCtH kept us alive from 140-150.

Read through the thread if you need to sort through this for yourself.
But if you are still clinging to those rings for the OA…you’re doing it wrong.
I won’t bring it up again.
I was just trying to help so you ladies did NOT have to read through the whole thread.

xoxoxoxo,
Skeletor

Name calling is always the best way to get your point across and seem mature.

Health regen is fantastic. ACDTH is fantastic. 2% hp every 5 seconds is ok, but hasn’t affected my ability to do Glad 140-150. YMMV.

Glad you expressed your opinion, if not how you presented it. Thank you.

Actually, it was the FIRST reason for me to use those rings.
I cant believe you claim the opposite!

Using those rings even in their former shape don’t guarantee you survive 140-150. And on such an OA hungry build ~100 flat OA + 8% OA is a pretty big reason.

But what if you are not witchblade and don’t have the luxury of insane poison resist? Black matriarch + a good Green will do the job fine. It will have to for most people anway since Judicators have been changed, even with the upcoming hotfix that gives closed fist back it’s OA.

Compare tooltips with both weapons when all buffs are up. The DPS difference will be negligible, and gain from ADCTH is huge. Sadly, you got only 17% reduced damage roll (max is 23%), but still, gratz.

There is no way you can guarantee your survival there. I’ve died to twin Valdaran + Benjarr at 150, because there spawned a hero that reduced my resists to 40%. I barely noticed resist debuff, and the next second i’m dead :).

About these weapon affixes and what is considered the best. For Crucible it’s clearly Tyrant’s. But what about suffix.

Of alacrity is good and the most realistic. Of the Rifthound is also good. more damage a bit more OA but a bit less speed. Of Fury is wishful thinking.

What about of Voracity. I recently found a Tyran’s of Voracity which seems pretty great. Granted, it’s on an imperial mace, not that bad but not ideal by popular standard. What do you think about this combo of affixes?

Edit: Twin Valdaran ouch. That is one of the most “troll” things in crucible, teleporting you around like nothing. It’s anoying to herd them together. I can bet Valdaran debuffed your lightning too to make matters worse

I get to a pretty happy place gear-wise once I’m simply not guaranteed that I will die on 140-150 gladiator – if I have even the faintest of a fighting chance. I’m currently far, far from BiS – just eclectic self-found gear. Anything that guarantees that anyone will survive 140-150 sounds like super OP god mode.

I don’t know if you got to trying Crucible Galdiator 100-150 yet but it’s guaranteed to make you rethink certain aspects about your character when you do, from equipment, materia, augments, devotion shuffling, skill shuffling you name it. I’ve been paying 15K to the spirit guide since who knows when haha:)

It was?? Then I can’t believe I claim that either.
I guess I’m the one who needs to go back and read through the whole thread again. Not surprising really.

Also, “ladies” wasn’t exactly used for name calling…just humour.

Please forgive my incorrect ring rantings. I’ll STFU now as I’m totally embarrassed.

Ok folks, I have pretty decent gear for my Witchblade, but not sure where to take him next. My character looks like this:

My OA is a bit low I guess, also I kinda wanna pump my Aether and Bleed-resists forward, but no idea what to do with them. The weapon and medallion are probably something I should upgrade? I’m also using the Devotion setup from page 58. Haven’t really looked at my augments yet either.

I made a build that looks like this one, but uses the new items:

Anybody interested?

PS: it was not a speed run, just a casual run.
