[1.0.0.4] Cadence Witchblade - 100% unkillable, 100% faceroll build

You can’t life steal Anasteria that’s the big problem not just the debuff.

Eh. Manticore + Essence of C’Thon, I life steal her just fine. I just decided I’ll kite around her, also I remembered that War Cry is a thing and works really well with Markovian 5 piece proc.

Kinda wish I had a decent Open Hand of Mercy instead of relying on Essence, but for now, I am stuck with double Matriarch Ring and the augment.

I am also wondering if Warborn would blatantly be tankier than Markovian because I could equip a real shield with it, like Oathbreaker’s for that amazing 15%+ physical resist and I think what would be 95% block chance. With a good roll, you could probably ditch Oleron relic and get 100% block chance at 100% recovery while Overguard is on.

Page 36 and forward is up to date.

U can level fine with out the set.
Best bet is to trade for the items though.

Well, balls, that was close. Finally beat Gladiator 150, now need to do it with 6 points active.

  1. Anasteria is still brutal.
  2. Surprisingly enough, a scary enemy was double Valoran. Need to overcap Lightning resist way higher, or carry lightning resist potions.
  3. Sentinel buff pylar + Shar’Zul whirlpools is actually a scary combination.

My variant of this build is probably over-focused on maximum block chance for giggling hammer spin clouds, so I am curious how do others fair? How often do you kite? Are there any enemy combinations you would consider untankable? I remember reading someone beat glad 150 with witchblade and no banners/blessings/potions, which sounds more than slightly impressive after what I’ve seen.

Also, I think I would vastly prefer triple Fabius over any other nemesis combination at 150 with this one. There is something cathartic about beating that smug douchebag’s face in while sporting 100% pierce resist and not seeing your health bar budge.

I don’t think you want triple Iron maiden or Valdaran :). i find iron maiden more dangerous in crucible than fabius. Especially with mutators like Cruel and Brutal. You have to take those into account too.

On your blocking. I’d replece the block Augments you probably use with some Survivor’s Ingenuity. This build will thank you for the extrsa OA.

On Sentinel-Shar’zul. Take out Sharz as fast as you can. He goes down faster. Don’t tank the two too much especially not in pillars. Rout them in a line behind a corner on whatever map you are playing.

Just switched my devotion set up to this but keeping my own version of the skill build. Like the beefy tankier nature but low resists will still drop you faster than a sack of cinder blocks. Love watching aether and poison take me from 100% to 50% in .5 seconds. So, I need to tweak gear, components, and augments as needed.

But, I play main campaign mostly, haven’t done passed wave 20 of Crucible because I don’t think I can sit through 150 waves.

I did not kite much at all but I do use blitz to adjust position in the fights. I had double Fabius and Valdaren and finished with under 10 sec on timer to keep my x10 bonus. Also, still need gear to finalize build so I used banners, blessings and potions. Then again I would use those things anyway to speed things up.

You only need to do that once with once. You can use tribute to farm from wave 100 and after that, during the same sassion only, you can farm a couple of times from wave 130. It’s worth it both on challenger and Gladiator.

You can also buy tokens once you finish Gladiator that you can give to other characters to unlock gladiator for them. From there they only need to get to wave 100 to be able to start from there whenever they want at the cost of tribute.

On your blocking. I’d replece the block Augments you probably use with some Survivor’s Ingenuity. This build will thank you for the extrsa OA.

Yeah, probably.

I am using block augments, markovian distinction, and splashed into the obelisk constellation for the block chance. Now, I am basically immune to anything I can block, but I can see how all of that cost me in damage and survivability against the unblockable attacks. Having watched Drizzto’s clears of the Anasteria wave and the 150 wave, I think his kill speed on bosses is about 20% higher than mine (Though it looks like we delete crowds at the same rate, honestly, I am very surprised Targo’s Hammer hasn’t been nerfed with a cooldown yet.)

If nothing else, I think one of them bonescythes beats out the Warborn weapon for the Markovian version.

I did exctly waht you did in the beginning, thinking that i’d destroy stuff with Targo’s Hammer. It’s not hte best way to do it, and your OA suffers a lot. Ideally you want most mobs out of your sight before Targo builds up too much. Not wait for it to proc to kill stuff.

Since then I tried many combinations including tree of life and arrived at the conclusion that having extra OA to dispatch enemies before they build momentum is best. So I switched over to Charriot + Hawk. Dryad for Heal and Scales of Uclama. Works like a dream for me.

How much does Scales actually heal? Is it a single target proc? Seems… pretty bad, numbers wise, compared to regen or general life steal.

But, yeah, I think I will try dropping Obelisk and try to get more OA. I already use Hawk/Chariot, but still way short of my usual OA numbers. At the end of the day, boosting OA ends up boosting hammer damage anyway, so it’s not like it’s totally betraying the spinny spirit.

once you pick charriot and hawk, which are great, you have a few points to play with. You take the first point of Scales because it’s great, it’s 200 hp boossted also by % life and the rest, you can do wahtever else you want.

But the Scales proc i used to think it’s very bad too. It does not have %life heal and it’s vitality which we hardly have the means to increase with our build right? Well the thing is that late game although it’s just a 500 heal or so (I have to check in game I forgot how much it is because I’ve been so pleased with this setup i haven’t even looked at it, and it’s not even max level) beare in mind that it only has a 1.5 sec cooldown ad a good 5 change on hit, not block, which is amazing. Every 1.5 seconds you can heal 500 health or so, and wou will trigger it for sure with all the crap being thrown at you.

You have to try it first, level it up a bit to 4-5. You can’t see it much, it’s not spectacular, but it’s there working for you every 1.5 seconds.

Yessir. It’s a blast. Facetank everything!

Well it’s another 50/32 sorc, with similar devotions, will try both closer to 79 and see which one I like.

No reason not to. You gain an absurd amount of tribute. Completing 130-150 Gladiator is 47 tribute; you can restart 3 times plus the wave 100 start is only 65 tribute spent.

Well the thing is that late game although it’s just a 500 heal

A 500 HP heal every 1.5 seconds doesn’t mean much when the dangerous enemy burst damage is like 5-10k in half a second. Heals add up, yes, but I would much rather prefer the consistency of regen/lifesteal.

All i’m saying is thet the combo works however it looks on paper. I had the same skepticism towards it. With Dryad on Warcry for heal on demand Wayward heal + Scales they really do add up and I see them work their best when fighting combos like 2x iron maiden + Fabius.

And even in high burst damage I’d rather have 500 extra health every 1.5 seconds. The trick in Uclama is in the low cooldwn. It’s better than Wayward soul in that respect.

In the last week i did drop last pieces i was in need of both warborn (helm blueprint) and markovian (shoulders).

I have decided to give cadence WB a try (well technically i already have a Harbinger cadence Wb but this is different…) so what would you suggest? Markovian or Wb?

Both!

Check out page 70 for Videos with both by the same player. Warborn has a bit better clear time. Markovian is a bit tankier and has the luxury of perma overguard.

Hi all, I need some help to finish my build !

  • What are the best rings ? Gollus and cronley ? What are the prefixes/affixes we should be looking for ? Incorruptible ? Basilisk ?

  • What are the best legs , if i cant find good solael/bysmiel/etc… sect legs ? The crafted ones ? Prefixes/suffixes ?

  • I got 2 matriarch rings, does it stack with the Essence of Ch’thon ? Would it stack with another Essence of Ch’thon ? With assasin’s mark ?

Thanks a lot, this build is a lot of fun !

1.Yes one of those two combined with Matriarch for the debuff with of vitality/potency suffix. Prefix whatever resists you need. resistant/Preserving/Incorruptible etc.

  1. If you don’t have good greens Chausses of Barbaros are just dandy.

3.resistances are 3 types. a. -%n reduced b. n flat reduced and c.%n reduced.

a. stacks with it’self if it’s from different sources so: Assasins mark +Matriarch + Curse of Frailty stacks.

b. Applies only once the highest existing vaue, does not stack with itself from other sources. If it’s flat reduced for e spcific resistance like Break morale, same rule applies for each individual damage type.

c. Applies only once and last out of all types. Does not stack with other sources.

the two matriarch rings won’t stack the debuff because it’s the same source, same "curse. Black matriarch will of course stack with essence of Ch’ton. Essence of ch’ton will not stack, see “c”

Thanks a lot for your answer, dear Superfluff !

OK so i’ll look for theses prefixes/suffixes. Here are my two gollus rings, what do you think ?

OK for the resist explanation. So one essence of cthon is enough. One matriarch ring would be enough too, if i find a good green ring with elemental resist ill switch.
