[1.0.0.4] Cadence Witchblade - 100% unkillable, 100% faceroll build

This build is still working in patch 1.0.0.6?

A few things needs to be updated. Kraken contellation only works with 2H melee and 2H ranged weapons.

Yes I think so

You can also use the variant made by Drizzto page 70, he uses a Bonescythe so the devotions/items are a little different (no piercing damage to buff) and it works perfectly in crucible challenger/gladiator

EDIT : I guess the choice of kraken is only for leveling since the OP advice to use blade arc + 2H for that

Where do you saw about Kraken ?

Could you please post a list of the devotions you have in the order to get them? Really hard for me to tell which ones are used.

Well since I respec to this build (markovian one) with already 45 devotion points at level 75, it’s maybe not in the right order for leveling :

  • 1 Order Crossroad
  • 5 Assassin’s Blade (Attach to Zohlan Technique)
  • 1 Order Crossroad
  • 3 Lyon
  • 5 Falcon (Attach Falcon swoop to CoF)
  • 4 Panther
  • 3 Hawk
  • 6 Chariot of the Dead (Attach to an aura, do not take 10% vitality resist
  • 3 Hammer
  • 5 Anvil (Attach to an aura)
  • 4 Empty Throne
  • 7 Oleron (Attach skill to Cadence)
  • 5 Berserker (do not take the resist node)

For levelling, I guess it’s better to get Falcon first and make a way to kraken, grab chariot then take the other devotion skills from Anvil and Assassin’s Blade and respec the kraken for Oleron at level 75

Can anyone explain why we don’t want to use war cry and the -physical resist debuff? Shouldn’t it stack since it is a static numeric value physical resist debuff while you get -%physical debuffs from CoF/Rings/Devotion?

His devotions are posted in the grim calc link

@Tabin. Who says we don’t use them? The Warborn build used them becoause it has a lot of points in break morale and warcry. The markovian build uses Black star of deceit instead, for debuff. Both black star and break morale are flat resistance reduction and they don’t stack. One or the other

For Warborn set, which others items you use as amulet / rings / shield / medal ?

I think waist / legs / boots are similar.

EDIT :
Shield = Siegebreaker i suppose ? It is a DC plan no ?

Sheild: Siegebreaker by a long shot. 20% phys resist and +1 skills yes and yes.

Witchblade easily gets over 40% phys resist like this.

Medal: Personally i’d go ahead and further augment the offensive nature of Warborn with a Badge of Mastery. For bonus skills on it you can look for any combination of Cadence/Blitz/Warcry allwing you to max skills more easily and have more points to move around.

Rings: Black Matriarch no matter if Markovian or Warborn. Second ring, any good Cronley or Gollu’s. Resistant/Incorruptible of Vitality/Potency/Readiness

Well, there’s no way I can do Challenger with this character and my current gear. Managed to beat Aspirant but with only 16k HP and 15k DPS it was way more intense than I’d like. Conclusion: Witchblade is pretty much useless w/o top notch gear.

Back to my trusty Warder. At least I can farm Challenger with him, slow as it may be.

You lack DPS, that’s all. Your HP is more than enough for challenger (it’s enough for Gladiator actually), but your DPS seems to be pretty lackluster. I suppose, you also dont have resist reduction and life leech, that’s a huge disadvantage (Warder has life leech naturally, so you may presume it’s not needed). You also probably dont have OA bonuses on your gear, which makes a huge difference as well.

My advice - sacrifice HP for offence, get OA, resist reduction and LL, and you’ll rock. Also, use my devotion build.

Life leech is not that useful. You must mean attack damage converted to health.

So do you go full phys or put some in cuning?

10 spirit max for Amulet rquirement and rest in physique. I have a tank character with cunning investment and it’s a dowble edged sword. You may get more OA and a bit more damage but less life and less DA, so I need to compensate for that which makes me end up in the same place really but with a bit less HP. You don not want under 1800 DA in crucible, especially with mutators that take out some of your DA or increase monster %OA

Question. Why Zolhan’s instead of Markovian’s Advantage?

EDIT: Also, why an investment into Solael’s Witchfire if you’re going for mostly physical?

Put a point in each. Not sure what you’re referring to.

Thinking of trying this build. How well will it work with no gear in stash? Also is the leveling guide still good to use?

Markovian has slower animation and the DA debuff does not stack with blindside.

You can put a point if you want. It won’t make or break your build

You invest in solael if you want more attack speed. It gives more than squad tactics point per point.

Is this a good build for someone just starting the game (first character)?

Will I be able to effectively farm the items I need for this build with this class in lesser gear or is it better to start with a different class first and farm with that?
