Beronath fury converts phys to elemental. That is a big loss for a phsy build. DW Deathmarked blademasters use Beronath because they care about pierce not physical.

Cadence is superior to Beronath even on Deathmarked BM, with Dermapteran Slicer you have a 100% conversion phys to pierce (66% with Deathmarked sword), so yeah basically you care about physical damage and Deadly momentum is a huge boost.

Not at all. Cadence far surpasses Beronath fury , especially after the upgrade it received, for several reasons:

Huge Flat damage from deadly momentum.

Huge %weapon damage and again Flat damage with the main cadence skil. Goes to 100K ( 150-190, even more with Oleron’s blood crit+deadly momentum) easily with a two hander for example. Does so with sword and foard as well. Dual weild is no exception

Also, among Beronath’s Fury and Fire Strike. Which one would be more suited for a lightning DW melee build?- Static Strike or Savagery+ Storm touched for lighning dual weild

I don’t like how static strike’s raw lightning damage was turn into “% chance of” lightning damage. Is it still good for lightning after the nerf? And yeah i know Savagery is pretty much best for Lightning DW, but i was trying something non-shaman which is why i asked b/w the two.

I read your post about Cadence, i’d say from that Cadence would trump BF even in an Elemental build since its transmuter does 50% conversion.

So is there a case when Fire Strike or Beronath’s Fury trump Cadence? I know Savagery can trump cadence when people love their OA, DA and Health Regen

Cadence +Discord>>>Beronath. Even though discord applies ONLY on every third Cadence hit as far as i know. It’s still stronger.

Firestrike. The only build that comes to my mind where Fire strike trumps anything is the the Saboteur, especially the one by Jajaja were he use warpfire getting huge crits with Fire strike + Execution. Just great damage in general.

Beronath Fury. Hard to say. It’s an auto attack replacer so it’s never going to be stronger than an actual skill line where you invest up to anywhere between 24-28 points. Would not be balanced or fair. Beronath Fury is good in a melee build that does not have an auto attack skill within its mastery combination. Like spellbreakers can use it if they want to save points from leathal assault and ABB interruptions.

Edtit: If you want lightning but don’t want Static strike or Shaman there’s not much left to do. just lightning procs and you will do poor damage. Static strike has good %proc change at 22/22. just get Stormheart. Also shaman, I would not underestimatie Storm Pact and Storm Touched in spite of savagery low flat lightining damage. They are very very good.

Got nothing against shaman, i know it’s good for lightning. thing is it’s a saboteur. I was confused regarding how to make it lightning with static strike nerf

Yeah, what’s more impressive - to me - is that at 20/12 Break Morale you get 100% uptime on the Skill Disruption: lasts 7.6 seconds, cooldown 7.5 seconds (with no CDR). Priests/shamans/warlocks/etc. are literally not an issue whatsoever for this build in any scenario.

It’s important to understand the context behind such a theory. Cadence wasn’t popular with dual wield because it interferes with WPS procs and it was generally less damaging than said procs. However Cadence is now stronger than those procs, so it is no longer bad to combine it with them. Besides that a Commando does not have access to a lot of WPS, so using Cadence is far from harmful even if it somehow was weaker, which it isn’t.

TL;DR: Cadence is fine with Dual Wield.
